My opening prep at this point is around 1500 moves and I deliberately skip the smith morra on both sides because it's too much theory. I am surprised you recommend it after advising against sharp gambits a minute earlier.

I guess it's just less theory than memorizing all different lines in the open Sicilian for example. Maybe I'm wrong
