Most valuable video ever posted for people needing a place to live quick! I spent $4500 for my rv and this would of saved me so much money. 4 years later and I'm still living in it because I have a huge kitchen living room area and a back spare bedroom/office with a desk and sleep above the driver seat in a queen size bed. You don't have to travel around in them people:) why spend 20,000-90,000 on a tiny house when you can spend under 5,000 to get the same thing just not new.

When I first started out I just parked it in my good friends backyard and lived there for a few years then about 3 years ago I moved it to a parking lot for free rent because I was like security for the gated lot at night and then after that I moved it into a huge unused warehouse so instead of paying to heat and cool the entire place I just heat and cool by bus sized Shasta RV so I have done it all but travel which I dont want to travel lol I like my city:)

I'll post a video in a week of my set up for you Trisha, I got the warehouse idea from the movie Snatch the boxing ring has an old hitch pull trailer in it for an office. The only thing I don't use is the toilet but I use the shower. avoid using the toilet the smell will be to great even if you just go number 1 so have a bathroom atleaset or composting toilet Ive even seen some new twist bag toilets for just throwing it away.

Go to a small private schools bus company at end of the school year and ask them if they are selling their old busses. Dont go to first student or some other big National or International Bus companys or to school District owned companys, they might not sell or can't sell them. Go to moms & pops (small) company they might do sell.

I go to the monthly GSA auction in my area. You can check out the GSA auction in your area from their website. Once there you can view what will be auctioned and there is information concerning each vehicle.

Leaving the title open including the amount is really great. That takes some trust in the part of everyone. Make sure you have a good licensed agent to be permitted to buy. Be care careful when working with deposits.

I got screwed over really bad, just like you mention from a shady dealer. I bought a 2012 School Bus. I had the bus picked up and it has major blow by. I tried to get my money back and they say AS-IS. Some companies need to be removed.

I got a car at auction once. They said you can turn it on but not drive it, and they said it didn't run, but I turned on the engine and put it in drive and reverse, and the engine ran and transmission engaged, so we got it and drove it off the lot. There weren't a lot of bids on it because people were told that it didn't run.

Howdy there. Many thanks for posting, much appreciated. I've been trying to find a 40' rear engine (pusher) school bus like a Crown SuperCoach Series 2 or Gillig Phantom, and am considering a transit. Dumb question, maybe, but do some transit buses, maybe ones that aren't low floor, or older transits have under floor or some pass through storage? I'm looking more so for Detroit Diesel 2 strokes. Jamie, I actually saw you this year at the RTR, when you rode away on your bike after talking to Jed, I tried to get out to get a picture with you but wasn't fast enough. I have a Van right now, but really love the idea of a school bus. My question is what would it take to get a short bus to tow my van when needed, and also, can you maybe hook up those of us who have no idea where to get the school buses like this?
