How to cable manage your HOME THEATRE

2 роки томуIn this video I go through how I cable managed, cleaned up and organized my TV/Entertainment Unit with all the AV gear I have in it, including a Marantz NR1711 receiver, Playstation 5, Xbox One S and Apple TV 4k. It was especially tricky as there was both signal with HDMI cables and ethernet, and power cables.

You should label all the cables before disconnecting them or you will have to trace them back to see what they went to when you hook them back up.

Nice job. I have a bit more equipment than you, taking up both top and bottom of the entertainment center, but this gives me a good head start. Appreciate it.

Wow you dont have switches for each individual socket form where ur from ? That must sucks , electricity cost . We always turn those we are not using off to save on bills

We don't have individual switches for each socket in the USA, not needed, unless you need to turn something off individually like a light. There are switches for a whole socket plate, but not every individual socket.

You should not plug your PS5 straight into your receiver if you want to use variable refresh rate/ALLM and the rest of the new gaming features, your receiver can not passthrough this I'm certain. You need to use eARC from the tv to the receiver instead. You need your ps5 plugged straight into the tv and to receiver via eARC.

This is incorrect. The NR1711 receiver that he has does support HDMI 2.1, and is therefore completely supporting the PS5, including VRR

@@MyMrAnimal huh, ok. I had heard that all receivers for the longest time had issues and nothing supported it. People were patiently waiting for the issue to be fixed with new models, however Covid had affected chip supply so nothing of interest had moved forward. Guess I was wrong!

I love the idea of labeling the power cables red and the other cables blue, easy to catch any of them coming too close together.

The wall plate is super handy! You can pick one up on eBay or Amazon for pretty cheap, recommend it

I can wait till I get myself a real discrete 5.1.x system again. This sound bar crap my wife has made me buy is just useless, and she doesn’t appreciate dynamic sounds. Instead I listen to 5.1 in Sony headphone using Dolby Digital app on the Xbox One and I get a way better experience than a soundbar.
