Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking the bold steps we need in other to reach our goals.

I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value

@@BrunoLuke This is the problem! Most times people with little or no knowledge of the stock market try investing by themselves. It once happened to me, then I learned my lesson and contacted a US-based finance consultant by name MARTHA ALONSO HARA and everything changed. I started enjoying huge returns from my investment.

Interesting to learn more about the "why". I like to see more videos and analyze the many possibilities from various aspects that sometime would be unpredictable when it comes to the interactions among the human. For me "friend" has a specific meaning that I expect from those who pretend to be my friends or like to talk to me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and wisdom with us.

Id like to learn more about.. when to accept your going in the wrong direction, backtrack and go in a different direction Vs when to push yourself through it, eventhough it might be looking bleak right now, youll succeed later...cos both of these approaches have worked in businesses, big or small, or in any area of life...trusting intuition isnt really reliable i think

03:33 Alex asks Simon if we can _change_ our "Why". Simon responds "No, You are who you are. We are the products of our upbringing" ... This is a disappointingly fixed/finite mindset from Simon. What about the people who were abused as children, denied an education and failed by society? There are plenty of examples of people who have completely turned their lives around and then created a "Why" that was not a perpetuation of their childhood. Our personalities are _not_ formed by our teens. Some teens are narcissistic demons but then they grow up and are nice people. Otherwise good message/show. Thanks. 👍
@tjitjo
@tjitjo 4 роки тому
What really grinds my gears with "narcissistic demons" as you say, is that when those people later become normal so to speak, they've spent a long time of their lives being takers, and then normalize to being a little more giving than they were, just enough to be called normal and live healthy lives. Whereas toxic givers and people who have a hard time being assertive have to learn to become a little bit more selfish in their ways of living as in order to protect their gift and not squander it on takers. So over time everyone becomes like a 50/50 giver-taker kind of person (giving to those deserved and only having other givers and/or healthy reciprocative people in their lives). BUT if you look at the whole of everyone's lives, then the ones who were takers in their youth and later normalize will have TAKEN waaaaay more in their life spans than the ones who were givers and then normalized. SO EVEN IN THE END IT WILL BE UNFAIR as the takers have accumulated more than the givers, or have drained the givers they've been in contact with in such a fashion that the takers will, over the span of their lifetimes, have aquired more of the total collective energy/life/kindness/gifts of humanity as a whole. So selfish people who normalize come out on top over those who are too giving and later normalize. Do you see my point? I speak as a former "nice guy", as someone who has been giving and giving in hopes of reciprocity but who has been used, abused and failed by his society and those closest to him in countless of ways. While the abusers have thrived on my gifts. It makes me feel like I'm left behind with no chance to catch up and I just do not know how to deal with that feeling. It makes me want to give up. I don't know why I'm writing this here but maybe I'm hoping that based on your words you might have a take on the problem that you would be willing to share with a fellow internetee. Thanks in advance and thanks also to Alex for the interview and Simon for doing what he does. Peace.

@@tjitjo "as someone who has been giving and giving in hopes of reciprocity" This right here is extremely selfish (and immature). Giving and giving to get something in return and then playing victim when you don't get what you want. There is nothing moral, selfless, or mature about that.

I dont agree that its based so much on upbringing its more connected to a spiritual level of what out path is on this life, and that WHY is definately remaining no matter how much has taken place in life.

@dwyl HQ, we are the sum total of our experiences. We have to be. If we repress experiences from our past, they only bite us later. I think what Simon is trying to say here is that our personalities are pretty fixed by the time we are in our late teens. But, through intra-spection and self discovery, we can change our beliefs. We can gain a new understanding of ourselves and the world we exist in, and this new understanding can change what we believe and how we perceive. So, in a sense, we are not changing, rather we are becoming more consciously aware of ourselves and our environment.

@dw HQ Simon ones said, our why's created or we see them better from our painful experience... we can use those experience to get our why's & to empower us for a better.

🟠 JUST REMEMBER - that this is NOT a message agreeing with the Bible❗ The Bible tells us that WHEN we decide to REPENT (meaning: a total change of mind and therefore a total change of life-course) and DENY OURSELVES and PICK UP OUR CROSS and FOLLOW JESUS (Matthew 16:24) ...... then a MIRACLE has happened ..... in such a profound way, that we have become NEW CREATURES ....with a NEW HEART (2. Corinth 5:17) (Ezekiel 36:26) 🟠
