Are you freakin’ serious??? Why all that paperwork? They literally force you to have a muffler on your car, even fine you if you don’t, but make you jump through every hoop imaginable to quiet your firearm, then make you wait 6 months???? Fingerprints and social, birthday and a freakin’ TRUST?! For WHAT? This is the most ridiculous process I’ve ever seen. Can I do this in California?

I never had to setup my eforms account when buying from Silencershop. Bought the can, paid for stamp and single shot trust,went to my local gun shop and used the kiosk for prints and photo, once can showed up to LGS I went in to certify then started the wait time.

It’s crazy that there’s a huge price tag for a minor reduction in noise on the majority of firearms. I know of 2 calibers that it begins to be worth the effort. If it was $200 total out the door, it’d be a reasonable value.

Way to much government oversight. Get rid of the NFA and the F in ATF. Every gun law and any all restrictions on firearms and firearm accessories is unconstitutional. Also, restricting the type of firearms we are allowed to own is also unconstitutional.

Just a recommendation: The finger prints will appear more clear and detailed when scanned if you provide a generic hand lotion near the kiosk. It’s unsanitary to ask people smear the fingers on their face/hair then touch the finger print pad. Not everyone is as clean as you think.

I tried this Saturday, but could not get my prints to scan at my particular store here in nashville. I even went and washed my hands thinking that may have been the problem. I finally gave up and went home. Disappointed to say the least. Maybe I will try another store. Always used paper prints before so it was my first time trying this system.

I just got mine the other day filling out my form 3. I got an email yesterday about a form 2. Do I need to fill that out?

Easy to buy one hard to wait a year to get approved so you can pick it up

I have a small Gunsmithing shop and I have out of state dealers wanting to transfer suppressors through me. Ok, I ‘m good with the $500 ATF license. I contacted Silencer shop about getting a kiosk. The closest dealers to me are 40-60 miles away. I called several and they stated that Silencer Shop gave them their machines. I called Silencer Shop and was told the kiosk would cost $5800 and a 5-6 month wait time. In order to recapture the cost of the machine would be somewhat excessive. I like to know if other dealers got their Kiosks for free or is this something new. I would appreciate any info on this.

When you figure out how to make a silencer that doesn't make your gun dirtier when using it, to where I don't have to pay a tax, do a background check, do away with the wait time and lower cost for one, let me know and I'll be more than happy to buy one. As it stands right now, it's not worth the hassle, invasive info or money to buy one. I like my guns to be as loud as possible anyway. Edit: The info they are wanting is too invasive for me. Granted my prints are on file somewhere since I was in the military but, I'll not voluntarily give them to the atf.

Is this process any faster if you have a TWIC card? It's a background check done through the TSA and Homeland Security. Truck drivers, port and offshore workers need it to work in increased security places, I'd be surprised if it didn't help

The problem today is the ATF, buying is easy and quick, but it took 2 years for my son to get his permit from the ATF, and he is government OSI supervisor.

It's been almost a year dealing with paperwork and I brought my suppressor over a year ago, still waiting!

You think you have issues with the government about firearms. Well, this is logic in the Netherlands. In the NL you are not allowed to have a silencer on your firearm, regardless what gun/rifle you have. To get even a firearm you need to go through a process which takes 18 months before you can buy and own your own firearm, and then only pistol/revolver or bolt action rifle in max .22 cal. and only one. After another 12 months you can get 4 more firearms, and the cal is limited to .50. After another 12 months you can still have the max of 5 firearms, but you can now buy semi auto rifles (semiautomatic pistols are allowed from 1st permit). Now the logic, like I said it’s not allowed to use a silencer. But, air guns (pistol, rifle, etc) are free to buy from the age of 18. It’s also allowed to use a silencer on every air gun you have. The air guns these days are a lot more powerful then the .22, but that’s absolute no issue. It’s just free from any permit. That’s what we call logic in the Netherlands.

I wish the silencer shop would work as hard at fighting the illegal government actions as they do takeing are money helping the government illegal actions. I done mine the right way and now if i want to order another one my records are already done and can order and sent to ffl and then the illegal stamp will be paid.

Brother,Ive been hearing 90-120 days wait time since before 41-F was implemented. And my last can (R-9 From Silencer Shop) took 10 month. And that was can 14, (All form 4's). And 4 SBR's (All form 1's) And still waiting on my Colt Select Fire lower to transfer on a form 4, Right at 11 months on the 24th of January 2024. So ill believe that nonsense that the NFA/ATF is telling everyone when i see it. And i can PROMISE you, Its not going to happen with this group of 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 (Biden, Merrick, And Dettelbach) are in office.
