There is a continuity on this video until harvest...Remember to check out the Part 2 - • How to grow pineapple ...
Take heart. Growing pineapple requires lots of patience because it grows very slowly. The good part is very hardy and does not need much care or have any pest-related issues. I have made a video showing the growth rate of seeds vs the crown method in this Part 1. Remember to check out part 2 as well...both videos took more than a year to complete!!

I had no idea those things in the fruit were the seeds. Thanks for the tip. Time for me to get busy and fill my greenhouse with these. There are always people wanting pineapple plants. You don't need to root them in water. I twist the crown off the pineapple, remove the lower leaves, and it goes straight into a 1 gallon nursery pot and in my greenhouse (to keep the wind from blowing it over. South Texas is very windy).

another better method will be the ANAA pills aka Alpha Naphthyl Acetic Acid, is a synthetic plant hormone . you need these to have a farm the uniformly bear fruits , so you could harvest and market at same time. I doubt so, I do have grow light, which use mostly for perennial plant. I don't think it can survive using only grow light

please tell me from seed to plant when you put seeds in a box temperature for it minimum aur maximum and when 1st time covered up till seed converted into a plant can we open for water ?? again and can it grow up 45°C in summer and in winter 5°C to 20°C??? i love pineapple so much and here in PAKISTAN it is import from Indonesia and Thailand in cuttings slices box..
@TonysExploration
@TonysExploration Рік тому
Well, is going to very difficult journey. If you have a few plants, and took the necessary steps during the summer and winter, maybe you can successful. If you talking about farming, then I dont think is feasible.

from crown to harvest , it may took 1-2 years to fruits, if from seed, i bet you need additional 1 more year on top of that

wow wow wow wait... I may need a crayon and coloring book explanation on why we want to make acetylene to make it flower.
@TonysExploration
@TonysExploration 2 роки тому
Well, there are few ways to induce flowering, this is just one of the method, and I experiment it....it works. The acetylene molecule is the same shape and almost the same size as the ethylene molecule, and so is able to mimic that natural plant hormone

Ooooo So question: - How often to water if outside? Once a week? - Also what were those fertilizers the one that went in the soil and in the middle. Also where to buy? Any answer would be much appreciated 😄
@TonysExploration
@TonysExploration Рік тому
The watering very much depends on your site weather and climate....a good way to tell if the top 1 inch surface is dry...then is time to water...Don't too bother on the fertilizer, it doesn't have to be the exact same as the video.....during growing up stage, a good equal NPK ratio fertilizer will do, or any good organic nitrogen source like composted manure..When it start to fruit, then switch to those lower N , but higher in P and K.
