In a cozy corner of my heart, wreath-making was once my solace, my artistry intertwined with nature's bounty. But life had other plans, weaving threads of autoimmune battles that demanded my attention, leaving my wreath-making dreams suspended in time.
Yet, the spirit of creation never truly leaves us. So today, I found myself surrounded by the delicate eucalyptus and the vibrant hues of roses, crafting a wreath not for myself, but for a warrior of a different kind.
She fought a battle against breast cancer with a courage that humbled the very essence of strength. Her journey marked by scars of bravery, her spirit adorned with resilience. With each petal placed tenderly, I honoured her journey, her triumphs, her scars.
In this wreath, I wove whispers of hope and resilience, a tribute to the warrior within her. For though I may no longer weave wreaths for myself, I'll forever weave them for those who inspire us to rise, to fight, to endure.
