HOW TO MAKE SHADOW BOX PAPER ART - LIGHTBOX TUTORIAL - DIY PAPER CUT

TOOL AND MATERIALS:
+ Printer and Art knife to cut by hand.
+ Cricut Machine
+ Paper 180 - 220 gsm (8X10in and 12x12in)
+ Foam board (5mm)
+ Double-sided tape or glue
+ RGB LED strip with power supply or LED Fairy String Lights.

After several attempts with my cricut, I still quite a bit of incomplete cuts. How do you cut yours? And if it’s on a Cricut, what settings and or blade? I’ve heard that a deep cut blade may work but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m not sure if you mentioned this, but what weight of paper do you use? Thank you

That first layer you cut came off unbelievably beautiful and cleanly. I on the other hand, had great difficulty. I don’t know what the weight of my card stock is but it’s fairly sturdy. My first attempt was a disaster. Then I watched some UKposts videos and saw that people used the card stock, intricate cut setting. That works much better but still not as easily as yours looked. Do you use the same setting (heavy watercolor), when making the panels as you did when making the box?

Another question…. I want to put this project in a more durable frame. I can’t find ANY shadow boxes online that have and inside dimension of 8 x 8. Any suggestions? Thank you

You have to make the box yourself, they don't sell ready-made boxes according to your size

@@papercutgifts6883 Silly me… I just resized the panels to 7.5” and it works perfect for the wooden shadow boxes I found on Amazon.
