@@bbqwater23 Cigar smoke is much too potent to inhale. Thus it's not about inhaling, but tasting the tobacco. It's a different experience altogether from cigarettes. But all the same, it can be very enjoyable and you do still get a nicotine buzz.

Correct. The butane from torch lighters is much cleaner than a zippo and more efficient than matches but if you can use a natural flame that is ideal.

A lot of cigar stores you go to,may have cedar sticks,they are great for lighting a cigar aswell,or if you have a cigar that comes in a tube,it may come with cedar paper,again great for lighting

Yes, I'm so proud! It feels like I'm watching my son grow up and become a man. Just don't inhale the smoke, and only cut a tiny bit off of the tip. The point of a cigar is to taste the tobacco, rather than inhaling it into your lungs. Make sure you have at least an hour of free time before you light up. I've had to learn this the hard way, as I am a former cigarette smoker that switched to cigars because I don't want to live in an iron lung for 10 years. For reference, a cigarette is done in ~5 minutes whereas a cigar will not be done until you smoke it for between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on how frequently you draw. Keep these things in mind, and you're gonna have a great time. Welcome to the club man!

The reason the have gotten such a bad rap was because whenever studies were done there was no differentiation between premium hand rollled sticks and gas station mixed, sprayed, filler.

@@gentslounge I used to a lot in my early 20s, I would cut a notch out of the head with a V cutter and light it with a wooden cigar match. I was told it was ment to give the cigar a "pure" flavor by not ruining the flavor with a gas lighter, I never thought it was much of a difference but I personally never used a lighter.

I swear to God these "you don't inhale cigar smoke" people are everywhere. cigars contain somewhere between 400 mg of nicotine per cigar. nicotine is highly addictive and can make people dependent on it. tobacco in general has a mix of over 7,000 deadly chemicals when burned. it doesn't matter if you "don't inhale the smoke". the chemicals don't just travel in the smoke.
