In this video, I go over a step-by-step process on how to walk on ANYWHERE for college football. I share my journey and perspective as a former walk-on at Ohio State and detail the exact steps I took to make the team. I was clueless and had no idea how this process worked when I first started going after this goal...I had no connections, no information, no anything. So at the very least, I hope this video can give some clarity on the process & inspire some of you people out there to go after your goal of playing college football and try and make something happen.
If you found this helpful do me a favor back and like the video and subscribe!
Comment below any questions or suggestions for content moving forward. I get back to everyone.
Lastly for those who watched the whole video...thank you and you're welcome...here's a little walk-on tryout guide I made for you guys (it's free and no I don't need your email)

A vary good friend of mine who I played football with in high school walked in at LSU. He was an exceptional freak of an athlete, to put it bluntly. Unfortunately, we played at a very small class 1A school ( Louisiana has 1A - 5A, - 5A being the largest. He actually made the team and dressed for a few games, but knew he was never really going to play much at all. Long story short, he transferred to Nicholls State, ( 1AA school ) and walked on and they immediately gave him a scholarship and became their starting fullback. Like you said, good things can happen if you are willing to work hard for it

Go make it happen brother. I didn't play as a sophomore in HS either. But I worked my ass off and became an all conference / district corner leading state in interceptions by my senior year. So don't think about walking on yet...you have 2 more years of MASSIVE potential for development in HS. The biggest 2. You need to find a way to play where you are now, that's step one. Get in the gym. Talk to the coaches. Specialize in something the team needs and become the BEST in the state at it. Don't run away from where you are right now by thinking of walking on. These next 2 years will determine if you have what it takes to walk on somewhere. Win where your feet are.

I’m now training myself because even though i’m 5’10 I believe I’m physical and smart enough to play linebacker but I know it’ll be a battle. I’m also white so assume my 40 times will not be good so i’m scared of trying corner even though I haven’t ran one yet. Texas has some great programs so you’ve really given me some inspiration to pursue this dream even without film since middle school i’ve had. Did you want to play in the NFL or did you just want to play football at Ohio State?
@clayraterman

Interesting question! I actually never had the dream or goal of playing in the NFL. Too many other things in life I want to do outside of football. Really important to know what you really want

What was your 40 time and broad jump? Do you think running a 4.7 or below would impress them or is this average for college players?
@clayraterman
@clayraterman 2 роки тому
4.5 and I forget the broad I don't think we tested that at our tryout. And depends on your size and position for what will impress them
