The problem is our championship has been on decrease for 10 years. Everything started in 2014 when russians invaded Crimea and part of Donbas. This had an impact on a lot of persons and organizations that had to cut off financial support to clubs. You might remember a cute club that played in the Europa League final on 14/15 - Dnipro. It was disbanded. Our championship was dead for 1,5 years after full-scale invasion - war. So there is a big gap in level between local players and guys playing abroad. That is the biggest problem as it looks like.

The user above told you about Ukrainian Premier League’s low level, but as another ukrainian, I want to say that although we have the war that influenced our football, there are still skilled players, improving their playing quality and having a chance to be sold to one of european clubs. Vladyslav Vanat, Mykola Shaparenko play well, some positive news about players from less successful clubs appear too. I also heard some good comments about Ivan Kvasnytsya’s performance, although he isn’t in Ukraine’s squad now. Sudakov is going to be sold but Shakhtar’s bosses are trying to rise up the price as high as possible (they think Sudakov costs €50m or even €75m), so there’s no information when and where Sudakov will go. Liverpool wants him, that’s what I remember from our football reviews. I wish him going to the best suiting club. The main thought is that although the war is still going on and our football league degradates every year, our football players keep developing.
