For some odd reason this song sounds like a father who lost his love and he has to raise their daughter on his own and they are both recovering from this lost. The daughter laughs like the lost love and the father is reminded of their lost. In short it reminds me of a father and daughter recovering over the lose of a loved one. I know this is way off but that’s just what I think every time I hear this song.

Depressed as hell but this song never ceases to heal something in me for 3 minutes and 39 seconds.

I cried from the first listen. There is something so sincere and personal about this song. It's like Hozier makes music for each one individually, and that song becomes a different new song to each one of us...
