I can’t be the only one who has listened to this song easily 20+ times a day since it’s release?? This is truly one of the most beautiful songs I have ever known.

As an Irish person living outside of Ireland it is really nice to hear singers like Hozier and Dermot Kennedy that can really hold their own. The power in their voices is something else. Also credit where it’s due, Niall Hiram has a great sound and he has a very melodic voice.

this song truly gets better with every live performance which feels like it shouldn't even be possible also, the poor guy is wearing a denim jacket in this heat - and under the stage lights, too. he must be close to melting.

3:19 I fell in love with the added vocals in the outro so I decided to listen to the original song again. It’s really faint, but I felt like I could hear the same vocals as in this video. This is why the outro is my favorite part of Francesca. There’s so much layers to it (the juxtaposition between the lines, “I would not change it each time” and “Heaven is not fit to house a love like you and I”) and now this! Thanks to this, I discovered the vocals at the outro were there all along. ❤️ long live Hozier, the forest god
