I just picked up an Honor 50 today. So far, I love it. I have always preferred EMUI over anything else that we can get in the U.S. The nice addition of not having a split notification shade on Magic UI, makes it even better. So, they have got a recurring customer in me, and you can't even buy them directly in my country, so they must be doing something right!

Pre-ordered my Huawei p20 pro in Feb 2018 and got my free Bose headphones after I got my phone. Last night had a 4gb update. All services still working, just can't get latest android updates. Still a beast of a phone.

Watching this on my p40 pro with google(gms) on it, it takes some time and work but it's not hard and your huawei will be fully functional with google services and keeping high refresh rate in google menu's.

I love that they are starting to make phones with bold and colored back covers, I hope this becomes a trend

I have a huawei p30 lite. Dual sim. Only thing I dislike about what the company did during an android update to 10, was *disable NFC*. It worked just fine before the update however. Real curious if lineageOS will enable the chipset again.

“Either both of them banned or both of them not”. What you need to understand is that only Huawei was banned because it was becoming too influential. It was never to do with cybersecurity and national security. That’s why Honor is allowed to buy/use US components as it doesn’t pose an economic threat.

I have the Huawei Nova Y70 plus and im happy with it, wish that i had access to the playstore since huawei store does not have all the desired apps but some of them can be downloaded through apk. This phone has an amazing camera and im very happy with that aspect. Its also fast and easy to navigate.

as huawei owner of one of the last phone with Google service, i dont think having identical huawei phone is a problem, honestly i was always looking for huawei style but with Google service, if Honer keeping the huawei future with Google services it's win by me at least, i have Nova 5T, if i upgrade im going with Honer magic and honestly still dont know anything about it, but im pretty sure it will be better than Nova 5T, at least that my opinion

My p30 pro has reached its end last month and I feel like I'm grieving.. It has served me so well especially that I've bought it before the us ban .. It was literally ahead of every smart phone at that time and I was watching everyone else's smart phone slowly catching up.. I just switched from Huawei P30 Lite to Honor Magic5 Lite. There are very very similar. From the Phone Clone App to most of the menus and Sound Settings (Histen)

Remember the Honor 20 you reviewed? It got changed into the Huawei Nova 5T in some Asian countries. And I bought one during my trip to the Philippines because I was an idiot and dropped my phone when I was walking up a flight of stairs. Bought it because the spec to price ratio was mind boggling. Bought it for 290 USD and it was amazing and I still use it to game on max graphics. But I found it funny is in those scams where you get pop-ups like "your X phone has a virus" it would always say Honor 20 instead of Nova 5t and that it was Marketed as the Hip and Cool and millennial line up of Huawei.

I own honor 8c since it was Out in the market and with Snapdragon variant. Its still working fine and with the highest prices of Samsung idk if I am ready to invest right now.

I used to absolutely love my Huawei phones, cheap/midrange devices, great battery life and honestly awesome cameras, I feel like Honor is a strange brand but when you lay it out like this is does kinda make sense pretty interesting stuff

I am still using p 40 and my samsung note is used for other purpose, only issue is bit with map. Maps are also getting better. Screen is bit cheap glass but camara and screen is 1000 time better than not 10 and battery supper good. All apps except google apps and g mail etc are not available.

My boss still uses a p20 pro, which I believe was the second-last major Huawei flagship to sell in Canada.

I can also confirm that this design was in place from August 2020 a company I worked with was helping with concept work for there Chinese advertising.

I am still rocking my P30 pro, and I was not sure what I was going to aim for next, Like I would like the p50 pro or the upcoming p60 pro, but obv I want access to all the apps I have now. I really like Harmony OS, it's a smooth and effortless transition from Android, and I would actually claim that when used to Harmony OS, it's better than android, however, that does not help me much when I don't have access to 80% of my used apps. However, now I guess I am going to buy an Honer? also, does it has a phone clone? like the best thing about Huawei phones was the experience of switching from one phone to a new one, it took a few minutes and it was like I had never hit a phone, everything was there, except faster and smoother.

I love Huawei. I am a Huawei user and still with my P Smart Z from 2017 to this day. I'm sad about what's happening to the US. I'm European, but the ban struck everyone as a shock. Though, hmone things we gain is that prices may be lower because of the lack of Google services and they also were prepared to fully develop HarmonyOS, which looks AMAZING!
