The best part is that in online classes you could be like my laptop doesn't have a camera ... if the teachers are doubtful send them the picture of the screen and it works cos the camera is in the keyboard

For HP you have to go to Windows power settings and lower max processor state to 90% or 95%

Loved this review. Watched it several times in order to consider this laptop vs any other Black Friday 2022 deal. I am getting this. I already have the 2019 Matebook X Pro, this 14 is for another family member. They are seriously good machines!! (apart from that camera!) Subscribed!!!

When the Matebook 14 is plugged in you can change it from standard mode to performance mode by pressing the Fn key and P.

Been using the similar Matebook D14 for months now, the lower model of it, Ryzen 7 8GB Ram model, and it just performs perfectly. Tried Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Valorant, and GTA V on it and it performs great. Huawei really did a great job on these Matebook lineups. Camera-wise, I'm using a laptop stand whenever I need to use the webcam but other than that, haven't felt any issues at all.

Hi, first of all great review. Keep up the good work. Just wanted to know if this would be a great buy or wait for the global launch of the 11th gen intel d14. The display resolution is going to be 1080 in comparison to 2k but what do you suggest if this difference is ignored. Wait or go ahead with current amd model?

I'd say that you either go for the original. Don't get the D types as they don't have the vibrant screens. I've just gotten this laptop and I'm enjoying it thus far but it is up to you.

Nice review, but I'd really like to know about the ram and storage expandability... is it using soldered on RAM and SSD, or is it a removable SoDIMM and nvme design.

hi, i bought matebook 14 2021, i7. but the device has slowness and sound, it seems to be struggling. although I haven't used it yet. I wish more reviewers would take your approach. Being sponsored doesn't mean that you should act like working as an employee in a marketing department. @Bensassi Fethi Yes yes definitely worth the money. So much love for the wide display. The touch screen is a plus but i usually don't make use of it that much, but there are instances that I find it convenient. The speakers are great as well. Although I think it wudve been better if they added more usb ports but that can just be solved easily by buying an extension. I also do some minimal gaming like genshin and valo, and it's performing great for me :))

Does this laptop support thunderbolt 3? Huawei doesn't mention it anymore so you might need to test. Does it have a spare M.2 slot?

Definitely, I have mb air, 6 years old and works like a clock work. New m1 books can be bought under a grand now, the best investment, I swear by their build quality and reliability. But I got this mate book though because I needed a Windows machine and I'm surprised how nice it is

Huawai laptops are so underrated. You get so much bang for your buck. Their MateBook D15 is by far the best laptop for £500. The MateBook 14 AMD is only £600 😱

I have the MateBook X Pro and I love it, but I have partitioned it so that I also can use Linux Mint as that is my favorit OS, I have kept Windows but most for fun. The daily driver is MacMini M1 and iPad Pro.

i do not understand amd with the new ryzen cpus. I bought the matebook 13 with ryzen 5 3500u version which came with radeon vega 8. The new 4000 series come with radeon vega 7 which is a 7-core integrated card instead of the vega 8 which is 8-core and superior. Instead of releasing it with a somewhat improved graphics card or even the same vega 8, they used an inferior one and it drives me nuts.

Recently setup one of these for a friend and discovered that the type-C port doesn't support video output. So using a docking station doesn't allow you to connect additional displays, the single HDMI port on the laptop has to be used and therefore restricts you to only one additional display. Something to be aware of.

Yes. Becuase that's Intel thing. It's called thunderbolt. AMD doesn't have that feature.

He quotes the specs which is 300 nits but I think it's actually a lot brighter than that about 400 nits from the reviewers who have actually tested it. Mine is really bright - no problems
