Waiting on mine so my P30 Pro can have a bestie. Huawei's been moving from strength to strength in such a short period of time due to the trade war. But their AppGallery and later, HarmonyOS, are going to change the entire smartphone game. Necessity is the mother of invention, and Huawei's literally been pouring in record-level R&D. Hi! What phablet would you recommend? I had two Asus Zenpad8 and was happy till my last one broke in my back pocket during a bad fall. I prefer 8 or 10 inch phablet with cellular incoming and outgoing call function. Prefer also a good camera. Thanks for your advice!!

Bought this tablet as a bundle for just £499.99,which imo is brilliant. The only problem I truly have with this is the fact that Microsoft Teams won't run without Google mobile services. A deal breaker for many, but it's not all too bad since I've got a windows laptop to back me up.

what I appreciate is you didn't just dismiss this hardware because of its lack of google services...and I was pleasantly surprised that Huawei app gallery isn't as hobbled as other reviewers make it seem...almost all of the major social media apps are there

guys don't be afraid of missing Google services on Huawei. there is a ton of tutorials on UKposts how to install playstore. I bought matepad pro and the first video I found worked. I also remember using third party appstore where all apk files were (even paid games) so there is always a way to get your favourite apps installed and up to date.

The only down side to this device seems to be the lack of Google services because that is where many of my phone apps and media come from. Hopefully someone will figure out how to side-load the Google store on there, at that point this thing becomes pretty hard to beat.

I honestly like what apple has done with the bezels on their IPad Pro lineup ... instead of having a notch or a cutout they have embedded the camera and the Face ID tech in the bezel. Would have liked to see Huawei do that

There is no Netflix App right now that you can just download and install from the Huawei App Gallery. There might be workarounds, still there is no App right now where I would expect it too see.

Deciding between MatePad pro and Tab S6. The Galaxy tab S6 has AMOLED (which is rare in tablets), free stylus, Snapdragon 855 for more compatibility and support, better OneUi software with KNOX for security. The iPad inspired MatePad looks good but I realized, why should I go through all the trouble of getting apps? Not to mention the unofficial ways of getting apps (and not all apps from the Playstore) Some apps still require Google Mobile Services to work.

The matepad's viewing angle has slight color difference when viewed from the side and also the bezels are a little too thin for holding it. The punchhole is slightly annoying since it covers a part of the screen.

Hey Asb yt or Asbyt? You should do a quick explanation on how your channel name is pronounced, I usually say Asbyt as one word. For the tablet, I am not sure that you mentioned the price? Anything above 800€ is in premium section, where you will ask yourself is it worth it. For the series to watch: Ozark? Money Heist? Dark (great german tv show)? Lucifer, Supernatural, Santa Clarita Diet, Vikings, all of these DC TV shows are good to kill some time (Titans, Doom Patrol, The Flash etc.), Stranger Things, The Witcher.. you probably seen some or most of these. Avid viewer of your channel Im not usually a commenter just enjoy the tech reviews however... I read some reviews that claim that the mate pad 10.4 and mate pad Pro do not stream Netflix or prime in HD or above definition an can only stream in sd.... I'm in the market for a tablet upgrade and this wud be a deal breaker as I stream quite a bit and I have the Huawei t5 tablet and p30 Pro both have Google so no issue but I want to remain using Huawei and lack of Google is no issue..... Can u shed any light on this for me
