It works way better on an Android than it does on a iPhone, integration with Android is good but not great. You don't get to see your emails other than just the subject line, also, not all apps show their icons when you receive notifications. Calendar/tasks don't sync. I believe calendar, nfc payments work if you're using the watch with a Huawei phone.

What region are you using that allows you to login to HUAWEI? I’m trying to figure out how to get watch faces to show in app. In US it doesn’t allow you to login.

I'm in the UK. I believe Huawei Watch 4 isn't supported in the US. That's probably why you're having this difficulty.

I hope Huawei can address these shortcomings with future software updates. I know the US ban is behind this but it is such a shame to see a product of this high quality being wasted.

Hello dear, I have a question regarding WhatsApp at huawei watch 4 pro, can you explain mor please about dealing with WhatsApp massages while linking it the the phone "i mean without using esim at watch" If someone sent you photo can you see it at the watch normally and reply with a photo? Hi, thank you for your comment. With regards to WhatsApp messages - on iPhone, you can see the message but no option to reply. Also, you can't view photos either. On Android phones - you can see and reply to the message from the watch, but you can't view photos. I hope this helps. All the best :)

The built-in music player shows album art if you play tracks from it online collection. It does not show album art for my imported and Spotify music though.

I paired the GT3 Pro with the Iphone 13 pro max last year and the possibilities are less because Apple blocks it. The health app does not work fully, and downloading apps becomes very difficult. If you have an iPhone and plan to stick with Apple, you're better off skipping this watch.

Helo mate - nice job about explaining- can I disable some notifications? example like from telegram? I mind - I will see notification from WhatsApp but no need from telegram - this is example- I have this watch with iphone 13 pro max and will try add esim - then maybe available replying on WhatsApp or messages 😉

Thank you so much. As far as I can see, you can only enable or disable notification for 'Messages', 'WhatsApp', and the third option is 'Other'. No other apps are listed. However, on Android, it does lists most of the apps that are on the phone under notifications. Hope that helps :)

You install the Huawei Health App in order to use your Huawei Watch with your iPhone.

Is there a possibility to first connect the watch to a Huawei phone, install all apps on the watch and then connect to the iPhone. Can I then use the apps that I previously downloaded from the Huawei phone in an Apple phone? I mean the apps that I can't download from an iPhone phone.

The App Gallery gives you the same apps whether you're on Huawei phone, iPhone, or Android, so I don't think it makes a difference, but we did see the difference between iPhone and Android. Android devices had far more options for notifications than iPhone, which was very limited. In terms of the apps, you're limited to the same apps regardless of the platform you're on.

@@familycreate When I connected the GT3 pro to the iPhone 13 pro max last year, the app gallery was not even available on the watch. I couldn't download anything at all. That was also the reason why I sold the GT3 Pro, because I couldn't do anything with it. I could only use the apps that were already pre-installed.

Yes, it works and is very accurate. It has a dynamic weather widget, showing nice animations.

If I receive a notification with an emoji, will the watch be able to display emoji? For example a notification from Instagram or Whatsapp

On WhatsApp, yes, the watch is able to display emoji, but I didn't test Instagram. As for using Huawei Watch 4 Pro with Apple devices, messages received via notification, you can only view messages but no option to reply. However, on an Android device, you can reply to the message. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on apple or android. On android, it allows you to add loyalty cards, and that's all.

I bought one huawei watch 4 pro but I can use the wallet with credit cards. When I click on this feature in the Huawei Health app, the app crashes. Do you know if it's possible?

Hi there, so were you able to enter your bank card details in the Huawei health wallet? Which region are you based in? We are based in the UK, and for us, there was no option to even add a bank card. We could only add loyalty cards due to the EU restrictions.

I made a mistake, I wrote "I can use"but it should be "I can't". I'm in Brazil and the app just not work on my iPhone to include any kind of bank cards or loyalty cards@@familycreate

I received the watch 4 pro (Summary : DON"T BUY IT). My previous watch was the GT3 pro which was almost perfect (only ECG functionality was blocked by Huawei). The watch 4 pro is the worst smartwatch possible. The following things are NOT possible : NFC, ECG, Glucose sensor, e-SIM, The touchscreen reacts very slow, there is a lag of a few seconds. It is not possible to download apps from the Huawei Health app on your smartphone to the watch (you get the message "unable to obtain device info" after allowing access to all). Also full navigation is not possible, sometimes only turn by turn works. A lot of free watch faces do not install after downloading (most of the times you get the message ; unable to get current location). The battery really sucks, less than 1 day, only using bluetooth. Communication with the smartwatch (read Huawei health app) is extremely slow, The watch gets very hot during operation and than switches itself to "flight mode". I will return this watch. They made a failure after the success of the watch gt3 pro !!!!!!! I think I should have spend 200 euro extra and go for the watch Ultimate as the follow up of my precious GT3 pro 😞

Many thanks for letting us know about your experience. In our experience, it has been more positive. We've been able to download apps without any problem, and the device is fast and smooth. We've been doing a lot of testing, and with heavy usage, the battery lasts 3 days+. My 2 big problems are NFC payments, calendar sync, and a poor range of apps in the app gallery.
