Of all this horde of American players, the only one I really like is Sebastian Korda. Mentally he is the strongest and his game is exquisite. He eliminated my great favorite who was Medvedev but I have always recognized the talent and technique that he possesses and that he showed off against strong and talented players like the Russian and now the Polish Hurkacz. I hope he keeps advancing, now it's up to a player who is not as strong as these two that he just faced but the opposing player should not be underestimated. But I know that with the mentality and skill of the game that he has, he will surpass the Russian Kachanov. IMHO!

A bit of a shaky start for Korda, but good that he was able to adjust and overcome and go on to win the match. The problem is that as the opponents get tougher, they’ll take advantage of those errors. But hopefully Korda can work through that. He has the skills necessary to go far.

Korda was shaky at times but pulled it together when it counted. Noticed Stepanek in his box; probably responsible for the net rushing. Like most pros, SK’s approaches leave him a sitting duck; but with good decisions on when to attack and deeper approach shots he’ll be even tougher. With Alcatraz, Sinner, Rune, and Korda, the ATP future is bright.
