That’s common with any new RV, even million dollar motorhomes. It’s just the nature of an RV unfortunately. Kind of like how my new build house is on year 3 and I’m still working out some of the bugs with this home. Literally in my garage fixing the garage door as I type this.

Yeah, there’s a give and a take with every RV. Outdoor kitchen and a slide out in the main bedroom instead of the bunk room makes for less storage.

Thin cheap materials such as what exactly? And I ask this question to start a conversation, not to say I don’t think there are any thin and/or cheap materials in RV construction.

@@streetsmartintelligent let’s start with the walls… this RV uses Azdel sidewalls which are a light weight composite panel sidewall that are also waterproof. What wall material would you like to see them use instead that you feel would be a better alternative? For the floors, they are using a 5/8in thick plywood flooring, and again, what alternative would you recommend or like to see? The cabinets typically use a pretty light weight interior construction components like a thin sheet of pressed wood to keep the weight down. Some higher end trailers that weight more and are more expensive have thicker pieces of wood. This trailer here has frameless windows so there isn’t exterior trim on the windows. Curious your thoughts and what you would like to see different. Keep in mind, heavy duty material = heavier trailer and typically even more expensive. Even just the upgrade from a lauan sidewall to an azdel sidewall is a costly expense which is why not all brands have it.

@mylesrv Yes, I know materials need to be lightweight, but there are still materials that ARE lightweight yet will last for generations, long time when we're gone. Just do the research & you'll find products being used now (even though they've been around for a good while) for mobility living & they are all LOW COST + the best part ZERO maintenance for all the interior & exterior, keeping the overall total cost down for consumers. Anything with the word "composite" in materials is pressed not long lasting. A little tid bit: For Walls = ESP engineered structural panels with the polyurethane closed cell insulation 3" thick, also waterproof, fireproof + excellent for keeping sound out & retaining warmth in freezing temps, & cool in scorching heat best of all zero maintenance, repairs! Floors - use bamboo, lasts forever, no worries with rot, mold. Using NO WOOD, pressed, composite or otherwise will allow one to have a worry free, maintenance free longevity dwelling.
