Yes I do! I vacuum my substrate once a month. In my mbuna tank I honestly vacuum it once every 3 months

Nice looking tanks ! Do you have a walk out basement that allows you get the large tanks into your basement ? Are your electric bills high in the winter ?

Unfortunately I don’t have a walk out basement. I make sure I measure and have enough help before I purchase a tank. As for my electric bill I honestly don’t notice a difference due to having solar panels, so they basically pickup the extra that my tanks produce.

Nice tanks boss. You have a tankless water heater or how do you deal with temp when changing out that much water?

I am planning to switch to the tankless water heater. For now I test the water temp before I open the valve to pump into the tank. I also have my heaters at the 50% level so that I never have to turn them off when doing water changes.

Good question, and we’ll be sure to include in future videos. But filling is all done from the bathtub in the basement, using a python.

Varied diet, but I’ve had real success with Xtreme Peewee pellets. I had the same issue initially and would pre soak with seachem garlic guard to entice him to eat. Worked well for me and now eats with no problem. Good luck brother and thank you for watching!

I was able to get the tank, stand, and two fx6’s for $600 off FB marketplace…not a bad place if you have the ability to conduct a good leak test

Nice tanks across the board. I do agree 100% on using the Safe product comment it will save you alot of cash. With the larger tanks and gallons of multiple tanks, the concentration of Safe is where is at!

Yes without a doubt. I use both because it’s easier measuring on smaller tanks with Prime, but every tank over 100 gallons gets Safe.

Hello. Have you guys ever had aggression issues. ? I have a 150 gallon peacock tank 🐠. And ive lost 5 of them in the last month. 🥲. Evorytime one passed. I tested the 💧. And the parameters were fine. The only thing I could think of is at night when the light is off. There beating on each other. ?? Peacocks are aggressive. I didnt see any signs of disease So im thinking it was stress related. Id appreciate your opinion. Ill never know 💯. Why they passed. But its good to get an opinion from a fellow fish keeper 👋

That would be our best guess as well. Definitely have dealt with aggression and have had to move fish. Luckily between the two of us, and with us both having peacock and hap tanks, we’ve had the ability to swap fish with each other to fix the aggression in both of our tanks. Sometimes it’s hard to say goodbye, but necessary.

Do you have any females in the tank? Because that can lead to a good deal of aggression as well if the ratio isn’t right.

@@CichPsyche yes i have a couple females definitely could be a problem. One of the yellow and black peacocks. Was being chased constantly by the same kind So im thinking he passed because of getting bullied. I took the bully out for a “ time out “. But it didnt work. I called my local fish 🐠 store. To see if they would take him for a swap. But they said no. So i kept him in there ( big mistake)

Yeah that could definitely be it. Also if you have some that look alike that can cause problems too (con-specific aggression).
