For example the word "überall" (when he says "wir sind überall") is well spoken and the letters "Ü,Ä,Ö" are very hard to pronounce for americans..

The setting immediately changed when said murderer comically dropped everyone in attendance including his wife and three children so he could have a private intimidating conversation with a woman. The setting for the tough talk is someone who knows they're dead and doesn't want to give their killer the satisfaction. Not so much "bad writing" as it is limited viewer analysis.
