Can’t believe it’s already been 3 years since this banger was released

The brilliant portrayal of a strong friendship breaking apart accompanied with intrusive thoughts that slowly come to life is quite chilling and sad. At the beginning, we use the juxtaposition that 'Run Away' gave us and the five boys are intending to have fun, but the tension is evident at 0:50 where Beomgyu eats the head off of the cookie which is then followed with Taehyun eating the strawberry 1:01 which bleeds red like blood, hinting to intrusive thoughts they have about them together. Yeonjun pops Soobin's bubble 0:57 which is ordinary friend behaviour yet Soobin is evidently upset by it. The presence of them all around each other only fuels frustration (the colour red) between all of them, something that is very accurate to real-life relationships. While hanging-out, they do so very absent-mindedly except when it comes to causing chaos. Beomgyu uses the mess of the blender to have fun 1:32 which Yeonjun responds the same. Perhaps they are trying to have fun together again or perhaps its an outlet for them to express how they actually feel about their relationship now. Yeonjun eventually feels guilty 2:27. Hueningkai is seen mostly hanging around on the floor 1:55 and looks to have no energy to this hangout. Taehyun seems to be the re-occuring victim of this chaos 1:58 2:13 and is clearly angry about all this. But Soobin looks the other way 2:16 playing ignorance to this in attempt to preserve their friendship for longer. These are all real portrayals of how people act. Eventually they reach a breaking point where Soobin finally calls out this broken friendship 2:58 and everyone leaves 3:03. Yet all five them are ruined and hurting. The entire mv is them tolerating each other through causing chaos at Soobin's house but thats just a facade hiding the actual thoughts the boys have in that moment. The motif of red is continuously utilised to visualise intrusive thoughts. Red can also be associated with hunger, and in this context it can be seen as the boys acting like an ideal friend group to desperately hold on to their safe place that just doesn't exist anymore. This trilogy is all about growing up. What TXT describes as growing up isn't all happy and comforting. Growing up is painful because it means that the people around you who also grow up start to change and become people you don't know anymore. I personally find this song to be a stark reminder yet somewhat consoling knowledge as I graduate high school this year. Perhaps this is something I fear which is why I came back to this. As always, txt never fails to be part of my life

I remember seeing a theory that this song is about depression, and I honestly feel like that fits really well with the lyrics. Speaking from my experience, I often felt left out, misunderstood, and that my friends didn’t care for me anymore. I felt looked over. You can be happy for a moment (they’re all playing around), but eventually it’ll all burn down in flames, and you’ll be left alone again. Or that’s how it feels, at least.

my theory is just simple. 1. Crown -> they were in puberty phase. They were in process of searching their real self/identity, and feeling stressful because they tough they weren't normal. Then they meet 'friends' who also have same pain and they made up their friendship. 2. Run Away -> they spend a whole time together, enjoy every moment and describe it as 'magical moment'. 3. Can't you see me -> they start to felt uncomfortable, have a problem, feeling pain, had a stress, feeling so done, but the other 'friend' don't understand the pain and just joking around.

I think TXT's mvs portray how your relationship with your friends change from puberty to adulthood. My theory: CROWN: jovial and childlike, since you are just entering adolescence. You feel like an outcast, but find people who understand you, you see them as saviors. RUN AWAY: More serious, as your mind expands, but conserves a sense of wonder and magic. Difficult times arrive, but you are ok as long as you are together. You see each other as equals. CYSM: Painful and disorienting, as entering adulthood. You drift away, they can't understand you anymore. Slowly you become distant and resentful. It's time for you to grow on your own without their help.

Here’s my theory: Yeonjun started a fire and blamed it on Soobin. Throughout the whole video and previous trailers, Soobin seems to be “invisible” to the other boys, and he doesn’t seem to know why. I think Yeonjun told the others that Soobin started the fire, not himself. This is shown when Yeonjun is throwing food at Soobin, and Soobin starts to scream. Also, Yeonjun seems to be having fun during the fight, but then looks up and sees the other members surrounded by fire. The members look almost zombie-like. I think this could mean that he feels guilty about ruining their friendships and making them feel distant. Taehyun didn’t believe that Soobin started the fire. In the Run Away MV, Taehyun seems more aware than the others, sometimes looking into the camera. Also he had a star in his eye in Magic Island, which could mean he has the ability to see the truth, or maybe see into another dimension. In this MV, Taehyun often seems distant and thoughtful. This could be because he no longer trusts the other members to tell the truth, and he’s trying to find a way to prove Soobin innocent. Beomgyu and Yeonjun seem to be good friends in this video (Yeonjun giving Beomgyu the cookie, running around the table together, jumping on the beds together) so clearly Beomgyu wouldn’t want his friend to be blamed. So when Taehyun started to suspect Yeonjun, Beomgyu killed him. I think this is pretty clear in the MV, because we see Beomgyu suffocating Taehyun, and hitting him in the chest with food (it kinda looks like a bullet wound) Whether Beomgyu did this on his own or was somehow possessed/encouraged, I’m not so sure. Several times the lights turn red when Beomgyu is shown on the screen, which could show possession. The only thing I have no clue about is Kai. Taehyun seems mad at him, violently throwing the food near his head. I was thinking that Kai chose to be ignorant of the fact that Yeonjun started the fire and is blaming Soobin, because the whole time he seems unfazed/unaware of the food fight. Tell me what you think!

theory in fact, the boys have not died, in terms of body, but internally, it is like the death of the soul, that is why they feel absent and ask to be saved, also why their faces of sadness after playing with food, in this case strawberries and tomatoes, (what happens is that strawberries according to mythology in Rome represents the death of Adonis, and as Venus cried for it, her tears became that fruit, representing the pain, which the boys of TXT consume and play with el), hinting that they smile and do not notice their pain in those moments of distraction, the red spots being the evidence that their smiles, happiness are ephemeral and that they really are not feeling well, they are in a moment of sadness in the which they feel misunderstood and isolated, that despite being surrounded by people who make them feel special for a moment, it is not enough to heal that emptiness (in each shot a member who is serious and the others run), although the lyrics is brought to an internal theme, it can also be interpreted as a form of love that ended and their happiness went with that person leaving them in pain in which they wonder who they are and what they could do wrong so that what is so beautiful to their eyes will end. however, I think that it alludes to something personal and that we all come to experience what it is like to ask ourselves the purpose of living, I really am present, it is I who everyone sees or what they see is what I show by acceptance.

Okay, this is probably going to be quite drawn out, but theory time: Yeonjun was the one who set the fire in the first place, but he’s blaming Soobin. This is made clear by the fact that he seemingly intentionally leaves the oven door open and later looks into the oven and says “shhh.” In addition to this, it seems that he’s mainly targeting Soobin during the food fight. There’s a scene where Yeonjun looks like he’s having fun and enjoying himself, but it cuts to Soobin’s smile turning into a scream as more is thrown at him. There’s also the scene earlier in the MV where Yeonjun pops the bubble that Soobin blew and Soobin just looks up at him with… well, hatred. However, he looks quite regretful at some points, almost as if he wishes he hadn’t done this. Taehyun seems to be able to see through this and suspect Yeonjun throughout the music video. In this MV, he seems somewhat distant, almost as if he’s pondering something… maybe a way to prove that Soobin is innocent… maybe the fact that he doesn’t know if he can trust the others anymore. Beomgyu and Yeonjun appear to be close friends in the video, shown by Yeonjun giving Beomgyu a cookie and then taking pictures, running around, and jumping on the bed together. Additionally, Beomgyu and Yeonjun seem to be the main instigators of the food fight. Beomgyu must have realized Taehyun’s suspicions, because just like Yeonjun was targeting Soobin, Beomgyu looked like he was targeting Taehyun. Fact of the matter is, when Beomgyu noticed that Taehyun was beginning to suspect Yeonjun, he killed him, which is clearly shown by the fact that he appeared to be suffocating him on the bed and at the table scene, when he flung a spoonful of food at Taehyun, it looked almost like a bullet wound. Whether he did this of his own free will or was somehow possessed, I’m not sure, but he was definitely showing a psychotic nature, including when he was playing in all of the crushed tomatoes, which may have been signifying blood. Additionally soon after Beomgyu seemed to be “possessed,” he blended the strawberries then chased after the members, thus making him the one who started the food fight, maybe to distract them from the fact that Yeonjun started the fire. Also, it doesn’t hurt to mention that he only started acting like that after Taehyun took a bite of the strawberry. Hueningkai is where it gets the most confusing. For the whole music video, he seems clueless, almost as if he’s trying to block out the whole situation. Taehyun seems to be violently angry with him for some reason, almost as if he thinks Hueningkai is being ignorant on purpose. He just seems… off throughout the whole video, like he isn't oblivious to what’s happening, he just doesn’t want to register it. One more thing I noticed was that during all of their solo shots, there wasn’t one where Soobin was outside. Any solo shots of Soobin seemed to either be inside or if he was outside, the door was covered in “blood.” All of the members looked regretful, almost as if they were mourning, so my theory was that Yeonjun purposely started the fire to kill Soobin. I’m probably over-analyzing this, but tell me what you think.

For those who don't get the message, here's what i got so far. The house represents their bond as friends. At first it starts with a fun bond but as it continues, their bond starts to "incinerate" as their "memories turn to ashes" which is represented by the house burning. It didn't necessarily talk about a one day experience. It is how they grew up. Soobin and Taehyun is shown to get annoyed by Beomgyu and Yeonjun's childish acts. "Save me" Soobin wants to be saved from trying to hold his feelings in just to be considered part of the team. Yeonjun on the other hand wants to be saved from his own immaturity shown by how he felt guilty when he realized his wrong doings. Huening Kai is the friend who always acts like nothing wrong is happening as he is shown to not care anymore, like how they played while he just sat on the floor by the bed, ate cereal on the floor by the kitchen and how he rolls his eyes. "Can't you see me?" This represents how they are blinded by their own thoughts. They couldn't see each other's feelings due to lack of communication which later on caused misunderstandings thus "Friends don't understand me anymore"

this mv isnt supposed to be taken in such a literal light, but ive seen many people commenting on how yeonjun burned a house to kill down his ex-friends, that have fallen out of a weakened friendship. for me its all a big metaphor for how conflicted your feelings can get when the people you've put so much trust and time into can just disappear in a heartbeat. therefore the burning of the house would represent wanting to burn/forget bad memories, yet at the same time destroy the ones who've been through whats seemed like it all so no one else could experience what you have. the guilt soon filled yeonjun after realizing what he had done. all that was left after letting out his negative emotions were the conflicted positive ones. it could be interpreted in many ways but for sure this isnt all supposed to be as literal as some have taken it.

My Theory: When we are young, friendship doesn’t mean a lot. We can be friends with everyone we want. But then as we get older, that we start to have struggles and bad emotions, we start to realize that there’s things we can’t talk about to everyone. So friendship becomes more complicated and intimate. I think “Can’t you see me” means that when you are going through something, you expect your close friends to see it. But most of the time, they don’t. You start to think that they are fake or they will never understand you (My friends don’t understand me anymore). So instead of talking about it and telling them what’s been bothering you, you pretend like nothing’s wrong. But no matter how hard you try to forget it, it will continue to hunt you. (Like when Yeonjun crushed the tomato then stop smiling). Talking about the tomato, I think that all the red food means all the pain we can go through as we get older. And the way the boys are throwing them, playing, means that it’s easier to run away from your problems then facing them. So most of us will act like it’s not a big deal instead of facing it and talk about it. Voilà

People sing it, they say they will be with each other forever, and that's what TXT promises have made to itself. That they will be forever together, even in Run Away they say it. However, after Soobin invites them to each other everything changes, and these words lose meaning, because you went wrong in this friendship. The fact that Soobin's home is destroying is no longer "forever forever" "together together." When someone destroys you, it is your poison, then you do not want it. You want him to leave you. In "Run Away" when they sing "forever together" it is as a promise, but here they do not sing it so gleefully, because everything they promised themselves has been destroyed. Here it is sung without feelings in Run Away it was joyful.

I feel like this song is universal. Even if people don’t like K-Pop or whatever, people will still love and relate to this song.
