Unfortunately I've been in a crash in a Volvo (someone came into the back of my stationary V50 at 60mph) and as much as I wouldn't recommend being rear ended, being rear ended in a Volvo is the best place to be rear ended 😉 maybe that's why so many people are crashing into them. love the V70R, what a beaut 👌

Alex I love your content. But I think I am speaking for all of us when I say that you guys need to start finishing your projects. There have been no updates on the High Milage S80 or the Fiat Coupe (Apart from a quick mention on the podcast). I know buying new cars is very exciting, but what is the point of having 15 projects ongoing at the same time? This is not criticism, just some helpful advice. Apart from that, love the channel!

I always loved the V70R and the S60R of this shape. My dad had a 2004 54 plate V70, not an R but an SE Lux with the 2.4 naturally aspirated 140bhp entry engine in bottle green with a cream interior. It was single handedly the best car he has ever owned and my favourite. Even with no turbo...the big girl could run. A lot of things with that generation of V70 are not standard anymore, e.g. the completely flat loading area when the seats are down, nicely integrated luggage guard into the back of the seats or even how easily the seats just fold. I do think if Volvo took a little leaf out of the book that brought the 850R or the original V70R/S70R, that generation would have been beyond insane and a more generally covetted vehicle than more of a niche. Unfortuantely funds currently do not permit me to attend shed fest (at the moment) to stand a chance of winning it, but when money does become my friend again, I think the search for one will commence. Or perhaps an original S40 T4.

can confirm that ikea has the bootspace of volvo's in mind when calculating the sizes of the resulting boxes when doing their furniture. i've got the xc70 from 01 with the 2.5l 5cyl turbo engine and that lovely thing sounds and drives amazing. its made for long country roads doing 80-90 kph and just having a wonderfully peaceful time

i bought an s60r black sppahrie with atacama interior. whilst it was a dream car of mine and was lovely to drive (when it wasnt broken). shame everything was so expensive to get fixed and had a very weak engine which cracked cylinder linings twice. suspension is also a pain in the arse to fix when it goes wong too... unfortunately for me the bad outweighed the good of owning it so i got rid of it thankfully

This one makes me miss my 07 XC70 2.5t sold it at 290k km after the 2nd engine started burning oil. Spent way too much money on it, but that car was amazing.

I have same volvo but its S60R my mate got same V70R and S60R all manuals. BEST cars in my opinion for a daily use and for some fast corner on sunny day as well..I owe a garage in Liverpool and working on them volvos daily basis..Absolutely love them and more than happy to be able to modify or upgrade some parts on thees lovely volvos. Currently working on customers S60R which basically will be brand new car from top to bottom..you more than welcome to my garage and i will do a proper inspection for you 😀...ohh ye...i do have some parts for them as well..🙃

Yes,you are right, Alex. Ikea is a place for social gathering. I sometimes take my kids there for a couple of hours, They like to go and see what's there and have some lunch and try out the lounges, beds and chairs, too.
