I'm amazed you hadn't didcovered yet that holding the button when you order your troops issues a "hold position" command. It would have worked wonders with those archers.

Some tips : 1) Use the fire archers against large groups for fire/splash damage 2) Use the hunters against flying things and other creatures as they have a buff 3) Use crossbowmen against ground units like knights 4) Use longbow men to deal damage while staying behind the wall

Honestly I don’t use crossbow men or long bowmen because I feel like they are just outclassed by the damage output of fire archers and hunters as hunters have buffs against all monsters which is half of the enemies in the game and deal good damage to normal units too, and fire archers can deal with everything else. Flail men are better for dealing with infantry units like knights.

When the kraken goes to the middle I usually put my flail people almost next to my castle to defend it and let the other stuff actually kill the kraken

nope, a pyrrhic victory, would be an actual victory, where you loose most of your stuff. He (a) lost and (b) didn't lose anything, as you can't lose anything in this game - you just don't win.

@@cringelord7776 But then you need to define that. Otherwise anyone who reads or hears it, automatically assumes the victory of the main character - that is why they are called the main character... they are in the center of the story.

The "kraken" (I honest think of it more like a walrus) always has the same pattern: down right, down left, down right, down left, top right, top left, main base, top right, top left and lastly the main base again.
