I followed this moose home from school today in Anchorage, Alaska.

When they lay down they do it off any trials also. They know what trails are and the road is a big trail with big animals on it

agree. He looks like an old moose dude. Anybody have a guess on his age? And do the die naturally from old age? Or do the elders, if not killed by a hunter, die from being beaten down by a younger stronger bull moose?

If the moose population in Alaska is healthy enough that large males like this can be seen in urban areas like Anchorage, that is a very good thing. In other places in Canada and the US, moose are under threat from many different factors. The more moose, the better! Long live the magnificent moose!

@charlessmith4242Рік тому
* Only a lot more dangerous than a house cat.
@brownsuga66544 роки тому
This is a beautiful moose. He just gracefully glides through the neighborhood not bothered by anything. The residents carry on with their business and don't even seem to notice him. Of course this is an ordinary occurrence in Alaska. If I encountered that where I live I would be terrified that it may charge at my car. I can only imagine how much damage would be caused if you strike one with your car. I hit an ordinary white tail deer with my Corolla several years ago and sustained over $5000 in damages.
@vickimeyers26722 роки тому
You hit a moose with a car and most often, the vehicle is totaled.

It seems like no matter how long people live in Alaska, they still take pictures of a moose walking down the street lol… My husband and I went on an Alaskan cruise a couple of times, we didn’t see any moose or bears, we saw a lot of Eagles though.. ( We saw more moose and bison in Montana)…then we had to take a two hour train ride to Anchorage and we had two days to spend time in Anchorage and then fly back to Southern California. We loved it there in Anchorage, we met a lot of cool people working at the shops and restaurants we went to and the hotel we stayed at. We were there in late August so luckily the weather was perfect, not too cold or freezing! Lol 😉
