In this video, myself and other Minecraft creators play Bodyguards vs Assassins. The game concept is somewhat similar to the popular Minecraft Manhunt series but with a twist. This was filmed on the Forge Labs Scenario SMP server.
Similar to the "Simulate Civilization in Minecraft" or "100 Players Simulate Civilization in Minecraft" this time we focused on hunting specific players down before they needed to complete a specific objective.

Tbh I suspected you as an assasin for one reason. In the nether you met Sean and game him a diomand. Yet almost an hour later you were mining for more Diomands. Seems a bit sus you kept seeing eachother. Why would you not get all of the diomands in one trip? better to get them early game becuase the assasins will be less geared to kill you.

20:00 I absolutely love the fact that Sean had NO idea what they were talking about since he hadn't been to the chest where the sign is, but he heard "I'm a milky milky man! bringing milk is just one small part of my plan! mmmmmilk!" and immediately said 'okay I trust you'. Kiply and WelcominTV saying "Oh that bridge, yeah we burnt that down." Then hearing forgelabs being silent was so funny. You can tell Sean's only important thing to do was to build that bridge. Legundo was keeping Sean alive not only from Assasins but from himself. Seems to me Legundo carried here XD

I honestly think this might be Sean's best video yet. Not only was the idea itself solid, but the editing is GODLY. I don't know if the exaggerated darkness of the shader pack was specially chosen, but between it and the masterful choice of background music this video was a genuinely solid piece of horror media with great suspense. Sean's come a long way since he started out, and it's great to see what he's capable of these days and wonder how much he'll continue to grow.

@@fogmo6042 Oh those are definitely great, Sean is the most true-to-life example of the 'Never let them guess your next move' meme I've ever seen and it's glorious, but their brand of chaos comes from lack of familiarity with the mods and Sean's own gremlin behaviour. For this video, it seemed like the world itself was forging a narrative, and the editing work brought it to life in a way I just haven't seen from another Sean video.

Sometimes it's like the zombie city one, where he's the most trustworthy person of the lot; sometimes it's like the Purge video or Sneve's challenge, when he's an absolute menace to any and everyone who cannot possibly be trusted. Predicting him is utterly impossible, which is a big part of why he's so goddamn entertaining xD

This was honestly by far one of the best videos you've made in a while. There was a lot of suspense, you also interacted with other (smaller) creators and fans, the idea was also very original and clearly well thought trough, making it both fun and have a sense of difficulty to it, for both the Assassins and especially the bodyguards and VIPs. Again a very good video I really enjoyed this one.

Looking back at the Zombie Apocalypse video (and the tension within the event), I love how the teams here are well thought off. Sean is with Legundo, Shadow is with Robert, Shadow and Sneve are on opposing teams, Ryan gets to interact more with Sneve and Kim, and it just makes sense pairing new people together in their first forge labs event.

Agreed! I loved Sean and Robert in the Zombie Apocalypse video, but Legundo and Sean might be my favorite combo. And I guess my main thing was no one had much reason to trust eachother in that video, so Robert and Kim weren't completely loyal to Sean sadly, which did ruin some of the enjoyment for me when it was revealed in the end. This was smooth sailing though, it's refreshing seeing them dedicated to one team rather then jumping around and playing both sides. It was a unique aspect to the video and gave it a more realistic feeling since thats how itd be in a real Apocalypse setting, but yeah like I said this is refreshing.

I loved the ending. It was smart to break the blocks while they talked. Didn't think they would come up with this plan. The collabs sean is doing and linking others video is a very sweet and great thing to do, I love that dude. Also I did have a better idea to that. I would have built a stasis chamber somewhere far off and keep someone (in this case Kiply) so that the moment they placed the diamond they didnt have to go through the trouble running off from the assassins. But nonetheless, this plan was also very well executed, a rare thing you see in sean's video. Loved it. Great job, sean and others :>

Yo! This was one of the most intense minecraft challenges I've seen in a while! The idea was awesome, having the VIPs be at half health and forced to do tasks allowed the assassins to gear up, and they knew of the special points too - it was nonstop stressful! Really well set up, and greatly edited. I would love to see this be made into a series. It's a new, unique, and grandly crafted challenge! As for ideas for other challenges, I do like that they were very diverse and random, so they forced you to have skills in different aspects of the game. You could do some more building ones like a two story house, things like find the stronghold (But not necessarily go into the end), get certain advancements, things from Minecraft Lockout/Bingo such as get a honey block or light fireworks. Honestly, the trade with another player was a genious one, as it forced an encounter with the players. Overall, awesome video, and I would totally be down for more content like this! I've been watching you for a while, but this video, good sir, is your best yet. Keep it up!

Ryan shot himself in the foot by naming his sword "Shadow Killer." Well, the assassins shot themselves in the foot by grouping up Sneve was revealed when he said he was trying to bodyguard forgelabs. Kim was acting strange earlier on, but that CAN be passable as people being weird. Kiply and Forge Meeting up and confirming each other meant that Two VIP's and 2 Bodyguards where confirmed. When ryan killed shadowmech with a sword DESIGNED for killing shadow, that landed him deep in the "Definitely assassin" zone. Even if Kim didn't shoot himself in the foot, then he would be the only unknown one left, and since he's alone with no bodyguards, he's an assassin BUT, if ryan didn't name the sword shadowkiller, then deduction could be used the same way - If Shadowmech and his bro where assassins, that would leave one assassin left. Forge could ask "Who's the bodyguard and who's the assassin?" And if sneve is said as any one of them, they're all assassins - If they DID say something like Ryan is the VIP and kim was bodyguard, you know that's wrong because Ryan got both kills, and the kills were spaced apart. This doesn't paint the image of the assassins bum rushing the VIP, this paints the image of the bodyguard dying, and the VIP failing to run far enough.

So some changes I advise. First, Assassin's should be in pairs so noone is Solo and not immediately gives away their role like Kim did. This way the Assassin's can pretend to be BG and VIP. Add in a couple challenges where the VIP MUST trade with players specific items so it's not just dump random junk at each other. For my second suggestion, I advise giving each Assassin a SINGLE Drop Point Location so they can't just know them all, and also make the Player Track System a Once Every system. So once every 30 mins or something it gives the Assassin's the targets Info EVEN IF THEY CROUCH. And make sure this Sweep Locator is unique to each Assassin and not known to the VIPs so they can't plan to avoid it like in SAO. This also means that the Assassin's have incentives to work together, and yet you can make them opposed in Score to create division. Making alliances tenuous. This will make every moment more tense as the VIP doesn't know when they are being spied on. It also makes everybody wary of one another as no 2 people are "Safe" and yet you have to trade specific items.

If you want to make it a little harder you can give everyone all the achievements before starting so no one will know who's doing what, like when someone actually gets diamonds or goes to the nether or something it won't show up in the achievements

I think the next one should have five teams and five assassins in it to give a bigger win-lose margin. Also some ideas on what to make VIPs do. - Get a wither skull and start a cult with it(make an altar with signs around it) - Fish up a puffer fish - Summon a warden - make disk 5 - get flame enchant on wooden sword

Suggestion idea for a video would be a hunting competition, where players have to collect a certain amount of animal drops, each worth it's own point value, and the team/ player with highest point value by the end wins

This was amazing. A suggestion for you to consider. Maybe give the bodyguards a person to protect, secretly. So if person A is a VIP, they have to do tasks and survive the full time. Person B is a bodyguard, they have to protect Person A, but Person A doesn't know who is assigned to protect them. Person C knows who their target is, same as normal. If that seems especially risky, maybe give the VIPs the normal amount of hearts for that.

Love these best players events. The strength is keeping the same people and adding a few new ones to get to know better. I’d love to see another zombie survival with the same map. Even at collectively about 15 hours it wasn’t long enough! It would be nice to see these two new players in there too.

Alternate possibly to get the diamonds into the chest: flood tunnel with lava and use splash potion of fire resistance to go in. Would take a lot of lava and require them not to also have potions of fire res. Brewing invisibility potions would also work but they didn't have what they needed

In school we used to play a game like this , it was called “president” , there where 2-3 kidnappers, who had to kidnap the president, 1 president, he wasn’t allowed to fight back , he was supposed to run and command the body guards and lastly, the rest of the people playing where security guards , who had to defend the president by pushing and hitting the kidnappers, the teachers usually stopped us but we told her it’s just a game

I always liked the idea of a manhunt turned speedrun race. Essentially a free for all, but the speedrunner changes, alliances change. It would start as one person speedrunning the game, but as time passes, the role switches, and if you die as the speed runner, you lose. If you die as the hunter, you keep going. I don't know if it'd be better as secret messages, or public messages, random or constant time. That's my suggestion. I'd love to see that

This video was crazy good. I love how you and kiply met up at the start to trade and wished each other good luck then rejoined parties to try to survive. It really was like the two royals escaping a kingdom which has been usurped with their two most trusted guards when everyone else wants to kill them. Then the ending was so good, not to spoil it but, with them sailing off into the sunset. But man that cave scene and everything was really intense. well done.

Amazing production! The shaders and sound physics, combined with editing work created such an air of uneasiness. Especially during the underground scenes! And that finale with the rain?? Literally movie stuff right there

A team vs team thing with dinosaurs would be cool, like one team has to manage the park as security, and the other team is trying to let the Dino’s loose to wipe out the security, could make it a 100 days thing too

I'm amazed at how well this was balanced! It's not that I thought you'd mess it up, but I thought it would be nearly impossible to make the assassin team and the VIP team have an equal chance of winning. I thought for sure one team would be at a clear advantage the entire time, but you worked it out brilliantly! Excellent job, this is one of your best videos yet!

Would be interesting to frame this game mode with the addition that all vips (or even all players) live in the same vanilla village (though house mods are allowed) and can only sleep there/must return for the night there or lose a point. (Could have an extended day mod to increase day length to compensate).

You can make torches using only wood and a furnace 1. Get 2 wood 2. Turn one into 4 planks, use 3 as fuel in the furnace 3. Cook the wood block 4. You will receive charcoal 5. Turn the last plank into sticks 6. Combine stick + charcoal, you’ll get torches
