My husband and I watch all of your and Dearly's videos, but this one really spoke to me. I can relate on so many levels. My parents both passed away in February 2011. I haven't seen or heard from my extended family in 20 years. I have one son whom I haven't seen in 7 years. I was adopted as a baby and since my (adopted) parents passed in 2011 I miss having family. If it wasn't for my faith in God I would be lost. Sorry for the ramblings, I just wanted to say that I am so happy your sister reached out to you! God bless you and your beautiful family!

That’s great! I always told my older Sister kind of what you said. “God always answers prayers but not always the way you thought it would be or in your timing but he does always answer.”

So glad you made no excuses to your daughter and took responsibility for your choices. That should help her in her quest to understand it was not because it was something wrong with her. Maybe you can keep in touch often whether she responds or not. She needs to be told you are in awe of her ability to write and survive. It will mean a lot to the wounds she has. And what an awesome answer to the prayers of your heart even though you didn't know you needed it. God is greater and He listens.

It’s mind blowing when we have faith and step aside and let Him work in our lives. Hang on Kevin, I don’t think He is done either. Praying for His will to be done.

When I turned 18 I was able to and man it was awesome. As you already know I lost my Dad it was so hard. God is good and they will come around. I used to pray just like you until I found out to pray the way you exspain it... through his son Jesus. This story hit me hard and made me cry tears then they turned to tears of joy. Kevin, you are an honest and humble human being plus you are a MAN. What you shared to strangers like myself takes courage to talk about your family situation. I'm sure we will never meet in person but I watch your videos daily, perhaps I don't comment too much but do from time-to-time. Selfishly I feel you are a friend to me. I'm 48 years old, very close in age to you as I understand when you reference bands from the 90's as I listened and played some of them while in college at the campus radio station and eventually earned my degree in broadcasting(my proudest life achievement). Anyway, I feel this video is uplifting that not only one but two family members reached out to you, with opposite feelings, yet you were able to connect with one of them. I sure hope you can mend any and all of the strained relationships, an uphill battle for sure. The one with your younger sister looks to be a start with baby steps. You are a noble man Kevin. Ohh Kevin... I've watched several times (listened more closely each time). I've been struggling with my words to express how deeply what you've admitted to God, your daughter, sister, and your followers here about your past. I pray more people seek God's love, understanding and forgiveness through His son Jesus (myself also) daily. What's happened is truly a miracle, not coincidence indeed 🙏❤️. One of my favorite tunes, "Turn, turn, turn" uses scripture from Ecclesiastes. As several have said, "if" we could push rewind, what would we do differently... In all honesty, every situation has shaped me into the person I am now... so my answer would be no. The struggles I chose were lessons to learn from and grow. God bless 🙏❤️
