I support Dixie shaving/cutting her head💕There's this stigma for women who cut or shave their hair/head. Like we're lesbians, or mentally ill, going through a phase or not feminine and so forth. I've been cutting my hair since I was 14. My family didn't like it then and sure don't like it now, especially since I'm natural. I've been natural 6 years and this is the second time I've cut my hair really short. My hair grows back pretty fast after cutting it really short. It's hard keeping a big fro and maintaining it. People just don't know the struggle 😩But cutting my hair gives me more confidence and less stress! If you hadn't shaved your head or are afraid to, just do it! I promise, you'll never feel more liberated and confident! Yes, friends and family will judge you, but the end results will speak for themselves.

I’m not an active follower of Dixie but good for her making choices that make her happy! F19) I shaved my head down to a 4 this summer and it was the best decision I made in a while. I too had that small fear that people were going to think I was going through something. In reality it was so relieving to be able to star over and do it for myself. The hairdresser kept trying to talk me out of it but I was set on what I wanted. I have like 2 ish inches of hair now(yes it’s in the awkward styling stages) but I’m loving my decision still. My face is very much out in the open which was something I had to get use to. Some won’t agree with your choice but it’s about what makes you happy. Happy for you Dixie!
