My thoughts on existence
@anchuto

I met a most peculiar man today. He was just sitting on a rock doing nothing, so I approached him. I tried making some light conversation with him, but he barely responded. This was it, the student I had been looking for. First, I taught him my flying technique, but a demonstration was impossible for I was wearing the wrong cape. I showed him my technique on how to meld with the shadows. Then I tried my technique on him to see if he could spot me and extraordinarily, he could. This was upsetting to me, but I was also proud that my student had learned so fast. He was ready for the ways of nature. I taught him about our God, aswell as the difference between ferns and those evil not-ferns. Then, I led him to the Sanctum Of The Forest, but alas this was too much for him. The space-time continuum still remains a mystery to him. It was foolish of me to think that this man could be a good student. I had a feeling he didn’t even see the movie Thor: The Dark World. So I released him from the Spell of Enthrallment I had placed on him, and allowed him to return home. The peculiar man still follows me today. I sometimes see him in his car, looking at me. He still wants to be my student, I can sense his thoughts. But unfortunately, he will never be as good as Thor: The Dark World.

To be frankly, not many people would have the necessary IQ level to even phantom 'Thor: the Dark World'. Like other masterpieces, it shares a nihilistic existential question. Such is in the case of Thor; "Why am I a god? Am I really a god? What if I'm not a god?". You can see his struggle with both his divinity and mortality, not people would get that, and just laugh as his hammer goes all over the place. I can guarantee people to watch 'Thor: The Dark World', but maybe watch some other existential art pieces like Rick and Morty to slowly get into the "IQ curve". As one cultured gentleman to another, I tip my hat for you sir.

Why would people still believe in that stuff after coming into direct contact with a real god? Can we use modern science to open up the Rainbow Road, er I mean the Rainbow Bridge? Okay, but for real... why is Kat Dennings as the character "Darcy Lewis" a main character in that movie? Will she be gaining powers in the way that Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman will??? This makes me miss this one kid in my middle school with a disability that I'm not sure what it was. He was very bad at judging the room and would just say things on the full cringe scale, but he was cool to talk to when you could put your own ego aside. We shared the same interests in comics and games and stuff, so i would talk with him, regardless of the laughs I'd get. He gifted me yugioh cards he thought I would like. He never gave me the girly ones "because that's too obvious to give to a girl" so he gave me a Mystic Clown "because we make good jokes in class". He would do stuff like this. Dress up and run around making decisions about what he saw in the world and sticking with it, stringing me along for the ride. I kinda envied how happy he was, even though people would laugh at him, and being in middle school, I really cared after a while about what everyone else thought of me. I struggled to associate with him because of my own ego. I haven't seen him since high school but I'm glad I got over the peer-fears those last few years. Haven't seen him, but I keep the card safe. Just in case we meet again. His memory was awesome, I know if we ever talk again, he'll remember the card too.

THis film was interesting, and I'm nOt fully suRe whaT to make of it. HE may have been sick, or aware of something more powerful than the narrator was, or maybe both, but it DAwned on me towaRd the end of this video that maybe it didn't have to matter. Kind of comedy, but kind of poetry. Whatever vague message yOu happen to take away fRom this video, it seems fair to say that Life always brings us these peculiar souls who Do things we won't ever understand.

Here are the Russian subtitles to this video. Joel, if you please could add them to the video - it would simplify, widen and improve the experience of your Russian audience: 0:01:

I literally had a childhood friend that acted like that when I was little. And sometimes he said that I should run, because he didn't want to kill me, but he wouldn't be able to control himself. And when he did he just screamed up in the air and started hunting me down like some sort of unearthly creature. Sometimes I wonder how he's doing today. I'm 24 now, back then I was 4 or 5, him, about the same😁👍

We are invited into this odd persons world, with Joel as the guide representing us or our facades and prejudice. We understand when he says: “i’d have to see this thru”.
