So interestingly enough Toads spend most of their life outside of water while frogs prefer being in the water most of their life. Another interesting fact is most frogs are smooth skin while most toads have rough and bumpy skin. As a funny fact a group of toads is a knot and a group of frog is a army

Apparently it's a squares and rectangles thing, since toads are a subclassification of frogs. Differences that make a toad are drier, rough, and/or bumpy skin (frogs are smooth and slimy), crawling movement (instead of hopping), and add in a dash of random scientist bias one way or the other 😝
