Hello there Peyton. You and I may not know each other but I want you to know that you are one brave individual, and I respect you sooo much for acknowledging the fact that you are in distress. Sorry is just a word, but I’m so sorry that you had to live all these years with parents that didn’t provide a safe space for you since you were a child. They chose not to listen to you, they were always annoyed around you, nothing you did ever seemed to make them love you and you are filled with years of hurt and heartbreak. I want you to know that you are precious, you are important and it’s not your fault that your parents deprived you of love. You matter, you are worthy and nothing is wrong with you. Your parents are just taking out their anger on you for no reason. I hope you get the help that you long for and may you have a successful journey of healing from all the pain your parents caused you since you were a baby. Even if there were children at school who bullied you and teachers who humiliated you, please know that what they did to you was wrong and that you didn’t deserve it. Same happened to me once Family thought the medicine I was taking would make me grow boobs and be shorter etc cause it had steroids in it when I literally needed it to survive and ignored the doctors requesrs Eventually my body started “rotting” to the point where my arms and legs were so infected and riddled cuts and disease that they said if this continued, they’d just have to slowly start amputating me sinc ethe infections were spreading at a rate where I was losing the ability to move at all. Literally only through begging and pleading, did my folks finally cave. No kid wants to be a burden, but some of us sadly were perceptive enough to pick up on the fact that If we’re not vocal about what’s bugging us and enforce the change ourselves, no one will, because sometimes, no one’s coming to save you, even your parents. And that’s one of the most horrible realizations for a kid to face

this is exactly what happened to me!! it led me into deep depression and horrible ptsd and paranoia from my untreated and unrecognized schizophrenia

I don't know if I have schizophrenia and I don't want to assume I do cuz......... self diagnoses isn't ever good. I just wanted to say what I experience and I want to know if I should talk to a doctor about it. It first started happening when I was 13 and I started developing depression and anxiety. This continued for a while and I struggled with self harm. I became very compulsive and would do things for reason's I didn't know or understood why I did it. I went to the doctor because my parents where worried about me. Later I ended up going to therapy and I figured out I was diagnosed with ADHD and clinical depression. I was prescribed medication but my parents wouldn't let me take them since they thought it was bad for me and how they have sorts of after affects so instead my parents would give me THC as a form of natural medicine. I never fully treated those things but this time it feels different. It isn't really like anything I felt before. I'm have problems remembering things, along with fully forming sentences like I can speak but my mind randomly goes blank. I see this misty sometimes and its like it is right there in my room. I see this figure of a man in the shadows. I always thought it was spirits or whatever. I tried to tell my mom but she just said some people have the minds eye. I don't see them all the time its sometimes and then they disappear then sometimes I see them again. It scares me. Then it has gotten worse where then I became extremely paranoid so much so to the point I always thought someone was out to get me and I had to leave my lights on at so I can see whoever comes into my room. I always am feeling paranoid. I hear this clicking noise and sometimes I feel like I hear someone whisper or say my name and I look around and I am all alone. I have also had experiences where I feel like someone is touching me yet I am alone. It is a very distinct feeling like someone is touching me to the point of if I were to touch myself in the same spot I couldn't tell a difference. I don't know if it is because I am stressed especially since I have been dealing with some major stuff recently or if it is part of my other mental stuff. I am currently 16. I know it isn't as extreme as people with diagnosed schizophrenia feel but is that normal? I know people with ADHD experience other stuff besides just constantly being fidgety, I wonder if it has something to do with that since paranoia is part of ADHD

I’ve talked to my therapist because my mom thinks I should get tested but my therapist keeps blaming it on anxiety and autism which I have a diagnosis for both

@@ninjadoge142 conversion therapy survivors are people who have been a part of or forced into conversion therapy, which basically is therapy parents usually send there kids too too try and stop them from being gay or “pray the gay away” but it’s really harmful. And often it uses electro therapy which is really awful.

It’s definitely unfortunate. People with schizophrenia are 3D just like everyone else. Their disorder is not all they are. My grandfathers sister had schizophrenia and I never met her because she lived in a home and my grandfather didn’t get along with her. I don’t blame him though because when they were kids she did stab him but that’s not completely her fault.

My bf has schizophrenia and honestly, if we don't talk about it, NOBODY KNOWS or notice. He has a good job and one day he'll be the boss of the compagny. People just hear things about this mental illness when there's a murder in the news or something like that... that's sad.

Most of the time they have had an experience of someone being abusive to them as they are vulnerable, not the other way around, it’s so unfortunate how misunderstood it really is, it’s great to see videos like these, hopefully more people will learn more and understand that people with mental health issues are not dangerous or crazy

I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He still does. Only when it applies. But he has been getting into more serious topics rather than "the wonderful world of anime cafe maids" don't get me wrong, respect them and their respective jobs but this is spreading awareness and helping people. I love these more serious "controversial" topics. The things people don't like talking about, but it needs to be.

You should do your best to bring it up with a trusted adult if you're a teenager, and tell them you want to get help and you want to go to a doctor or something to get diagnosed and figure out what is going on and get treatment for it. Show them this video for example as something to show how real these things actually are. It might help convince them to take it seriously.

And also realizing that as a therapist, you can teach your clients different techniques and listen to them in session and encourage them to do those techniques outside of session, but you can’t control what the clients do after session. You can’t control if they do their homework or not, for instance. All you can do is the best you can while you see them, the rest is on the client.

My mom is also schizophrenic, a lot of her delusions invovled me and my sister being in danger but she has Anasognosia (lack of insight) so its really hard to deal with but Iv come to understand her. I love my mother I am so sorry she has to go through that when she has psychosis.

I live in a rural area, and my most frequent hallucination are glowing eyes in the dark. I do the same thing with my phone, and I also will turn my phone flashlight on, and if the eyes dont get brighter like if it were a real animal, I know its a hallucination.

Anthony, if you see this, I could speak on this as a former epileptic. I had a childhood form that almost wasn't caught because it wasn't as prominent as the seizures most people know.

I'm a Former epileptic but I'm still at risk for seizures again and id love for people to get the proper idea of what it is, instead of automatically assuming it's all convulsion seizures.

THIS! I would love to see him talk to people with epilepsy. If he can arrange that before November is over that'd be great, but even if not.

Thank you for saying this! It’s horrible now but as a child I was terrified of schizophrenic people, I thought everyone with it would go crazy and try to kill you. And I had a cousin with severe schizophrenia, so i only saw that or worse on the Internet. Looking back now I feel insanely terrible and guilty that; that was the only way I saw it. I’m happy we’re starting to show everyone’s point of view or there would probably be way more people like I was as a child and probably still me. I’m thankful for all this information. Thank you for sharing! I appreciate it, and you are amazing! No one should view people with this disorder as anything but a human. You guys are important, heard and loved!

There is so much more to mental health than people realize..

The things leading up to etika’s death hits me so hard. Like..... people around him were genuinely concerned but sometimes more people need to help out in order for a positive out come. Instead, most of his fan base was clowning him, especially the day police had to force themselves into his apartment. People need to be more aware of the signs. :(

Yes!!!! There's such a stigma attached to those two because everyone walks around saying they have them because they're experiencing the feeling, NOT the disorder... We really need to start having these discussions. These people really teach us that disorders are 1) not something that defines you or your personality and 2) are able to be overcome to a semi-comfortable extent. The people who use their disorder as an excuse are those who most likely don't even have it to begin with.

Hey! I’m entering high school soon, and honestly I’m really interested in psychology, mental health and stuff like that...what’s it like working with mentally ill people? I can see it’s very draining for you, and I’m sorry you’re feeling so drained. But do you think you could go into detail? I’m really curious! It’s completely optional, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to!

I work in an acute psychiatric ward. I have also done a clinical psychology degree and masters. The reality is a lot different than what is taught in lectures and in books etc. I think you really have to see and work with people with complex conditions like schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and personality disorders. It can be really really hard, especially when people are self-harming, head-banging, ligating, but it’s really lovely to help people, even if it’s just helping them get out of bed and to have a walk around the ward. Could talk all day about it! The stigma against mental illness is slowly decreasing, but I think the general public need to be educated on more than just Anxiety and Depression and there’s so many more mental illnesses out there that drastically affect people’s lives.

Especially stuff like Schizophrenia, Dissociative Identity Disorder, Bipolar disorder and stuff like that. I think since we’re so undereducated on topics like that they’re really misunderstood and people try to connect the disorders with violence. I’m glad you’re there for people who need the help you give. It’s refreshing to see people like you who see the positive side in people! It must be hard seeing someone harm themselves though, I’m sorry that you have to see that.

Meds are either too strong, barely work, or have a side affect like reduces how hungry you feel which might not sound bad, but I didn't eat lunch on school days for about 4 yrs. Also, the rest of this is just me expressing myself to get this stuff off my chest. Sometimes, your brain when reading just doesn't register what you are reading properly and you read something 7 times over OR you read a paragraph of your book and then you realize that processed none of that because the whole time you were thinking about your favorite DOOM game. Another thing is that I tend to scratch my scabs and pick my nails because I want to do SOMETHING with my hands (why are you still reading this!?). I have meds that are way to strong to the point where it is hard to express myself, I'm always super quiet, and EXTREMELY bored because nothing gives me much joy. Why did you read this??

Wait have you been diagnosed, because what you described is what I get.. I get voices from just outside my ears and sometimes futher away.. I see pretty normal people or shadows.. sometimes it’s really scary stuff but I don’t know weather to think it’s schizophrenia or just my mind being over creative. The voices and images are not usally bad tho so I’m not sure if I should get anything checked out or not.

I'm mildly concerned I have schizophrenia from watching this.. I have tactile, olfactory, visual, and auditory hallucinations when stressed.

Indeed... I have narcolepsy and although I’m not in a place to join him, I still hope he makes a video on it with others someday because it’s really unknown in the world. My first symptoms started at 5, but I wasn’t diagnosed until 20, after many years of fighting against the many doctors who said it was anything at all.

I'm so sorry. my grandmother and my aunt have both schizophrenia, diagnosed many years ago. recently another cousin begins to show many symptoms despite not being diagnosed. I know how difficult it is for them and the family. we definitely need to educate ourselves more on this subject

I know what I'm about to say won't fix everything you have been through, but you are such a strong person to share this. The fact that you were worried about them just shows what a caring and understanding person you are. I don't mean to be rude but I hope you see someone to help your mental health, because mental health is important and I believe no matter how "happy" a person is they always have things they can benefit from that. I hope you know you are loved, by not just the people you know but Anthony, and all of us who are in this fandom. My dad was diagnosed with schizophrenia and dillusional disorder when I was six, my life changed a lot. I’m 12 now and it’s just normal, we live with it, it’s not a big deal. We have our ways of dealing with it but I really appreciate it when people are respectful of it as well.

Literally 🤣 A friend of mine didn’t believe me how much I hate spiders (to the point I won’t even risk going near them to kill them..) and we were just walking around and i seen one and literally jumped on a bin (the metal ones in the cities with the holes in the middle of the top) and told him to step on it 😅

My friend who has schizophrenia passed away at 25 by suicide this September. No one outside of her family knew and by the time they got her diagnosed it was too late, and it seems lockdown pushed her mental health to an even worse place. She still visits me in my dreams, last night was one of those times. And you happened to upload this today. Thank you for spreading more info about this. It's too late for me to do anything for her but I still want to understand what she might have gone through, and this video helps. Rest in peace, Mayuri. You had a beautiful soul. ❤️ EDIT: For anyone else who might read this, please say a little prayer for her soul ❤️ and please check in on your friends and loved ones, let them know there is help if they need it. These are really difficult times and we need to look out for each other.

Lol quite the opposite for me. One guy kept pursuing me but him being 20 and me being 15 ran alarm bells for me and ended up blocking him. I feel bad, cuz he was a nice guy all in all, but when his voices acted up (his doctor would change doses every now and then) he'd tell me some shit I couldn't deal with.

I also dated someone with schizophrenia, and I have to echo what you said. She was the sweetest person I'd ever met. We connected very well, she would sometimes ask me to verify a noise/voice and tell me some of the things she saw. The only person I've ever been in love with

@@kiarranarisse She did that as well with me. She'd on occasion if things got too hard to handle, she'd ask me to confirm or deny the presence she was seeing and hearing. She brought me, someone, who has Emotional Numbness, honest to God happiness, and joy. People should never, ever, judge others for something as foolish as a mental disorder. We're all humans.

Ive had like an auditory hallucination once or twice, that scared the fuck outta me. Just randomly a voice next to you. I dont have schizophrenia so i dont know why that happened, i was probably just tired. But yeah that scared me so bad.

After a while your hallucinations become your new normal. Also keep in mind hallucinations are brought on by stress. In severe cases you hallucinate daily. At first they are scary but you learn to adapt.

I always like to say the most dangerous ones are the sane people that have a completely rigid understanding of life and refuse to understand anything that is different. These are the ones that use their fears as an excuse to hurt and violate others. The rest of us are just people trying to fit in when we forget....we out number them quite a bit if we could see how many of us exist.

The CPS system is so broken, I’m sure your girlfriend is lovely and does her job correctly but the idea of a entire video dedicated to praising CPS and CPS workers would be revolting to watch as someone who grew up in the system and was taken advantage of by multiple CPS workers, and have heard hundreds of story’s of abuse and lack of empathy or care from other Forster children experienced from their case workers. If the video showed the good (like perhaps people like your girlfriend) but also exposing the true evil that can occur in the system, I would be pleased as would many other foster care survivors.

My case worker forced me to drop out, paid for my cigarettes, which me at 16 thought "wow so cool" but me as a parent now is actually like WHAT THE HELL WAS THIS WOMAN THINKING?!, and actually had a guy pull my step dad out of the courthouse to make threats and get him riled up so she could have ammunition. Oh and she tried to adopt my sisters and I to a legit pedophile before my mom even had her trial for her parental rights. That dude stalked my fb page for years to figure out if my sister, who was only 8 at the time, had "grown up" enough for fb and then pressured her to meet up with him despite being back in my mom's care because he thought they, and I quote, "had a close relationship" we met the guy like 3 times, one of which was an over night visit that we all hated and stuck around each other during.
