I never truly warmed up to the French (Québec) culture and language much when I was growing up. I was wired for music at birth and all of my musical interests were in all the British Invasion groups of the 60's era and onward. British humour always tickled my fancy, from the "Carry On" series, to Peter Sellers, Monty Python and so on. There's an intelligent wit behind most of it. Dang it, even Benny Hill was a favourite of mine all through the early days of VHS tape rentals! 😆 I had a buddy who's wife came from Wales. They brought back a towel for me with a map of Wales on it which I have to this day. It's sad how the media always reinforces the differences between people when I'm sure the vast majority of us have a lot in common. Sharing laughs with other folks is a wonderful thing. Not sure I agree, 2 years later (saw the video today). Q&A are mostly someone mumbling, with or without a microphone. If you hear them it is often proving that broadcasting is not for everyone and the interviewee gets asked questions that are rubbish or foolish.
