After the mild winter we had up north here, I managed to get out on my earliest ice-out canoe trip to date! April 1st! This trip is really just a shakedown to get ready for the rest of the 2024 canoeing season, but I still managed to find a few good fish, a great spot to camp, and some excellent food to eat. My trip was cut a little short by some adverse weather, but I still managed to have an absolute blast enjoying the solitude and serenity of the Adirondack Mountains.
