Glory is for old men who should know better, and young fools who do not. No one who has been where the metal meets the meat thinks there is any fucking glory in war, in these days or those long gone. Thank your lucky stars that you never actually HAVE to strap on shield and gird sword, I fear you will find battle a terrible mistress. Her lessons are hard and harsh, and not all scars are physical....

Here’s the storyline, as I understand it. Shape of lies: The girl has a friend, lover, or family member, who she trusts with all her heart. She even finally tells them How she makes her “Violins of Time” which allow her to slow things down or speed things up, and as what causes her to be called a witch by some in the village. She makes them promise not to tell anyone and not to make one for their own good. They promised, but really they were just memorizing how to make one so that they can control time and, thus, the world. Revolution: The girl catches them making a Violin of Time and is heartbroken. The person then proceeds to yell, “Help me! The witch is casting a spell on me!” which causes the villagers to rush to the house and chase the girl out of the village. She runs until she comes up to a cliff, stopping just in time to avoid falling off. She’s crying, pleading with the villagers, when out of the crowd steps the one she trusted. Reach: The girl stares in shock, angry and betrayed. (“Why did you do this? I trusted you! I loved you!”) They had brought the violin with them as just one more victory against the girl who they betrayed. (“I’m so very sorry it had to come to this”) and shoves her off the cliff with the butt of the violin. As her feet slip backwards into the ravine, she grabs the violin from their hands so that they can never use it again. You can almost hear them yelling “No!” as the girl, with the violin, falls out of reach, forever ending their plan. Redemption: She’s still in shock while falling, playing as best she can to play a slow song, remembering her life and trying to grasp the fact that it’s about to end. Then, she suddenly gets very angry at the person who betrayed her. Vengeance suddenly displays itself in her mind. She’s basically fighting herself at this point, but finally she forgives her killer right as she hits the ground. The Last Funeral: The villagers realized that she wasn’t a witch because she didn’t save herself, and had a funeral for her. Her family member/friend/lover realized what they had done, and in desperation, runs away from the village, never coming back. Born from Ashes: The girl wakes up in a blazing fire, her violin next to her. But strangely, the fire doesn’t burn her. She can’t remember who she was or what happened. All she can remember was how to play the violin. She plays a complicated melody to calm herself and bit by bit her memories come back to her. Suddenly the fire goes out. Afterlight: The girl looks around in awe. She made it to the afterlife and it’s more amazing than ever. She’s helped to her feet by a boy about her age, who explains how the afterlife works and how to see the events happening on earth. Curious, she peers into the future of her village and sees it burn and be destroyed. She knows she has to save it, but it is forbidden to interfere with events on earth. Luckily her newfound friend is smart as well. Dawn of Faith: She walks around chatting with the other ghosts, trying to figure out information on the afterlife and possibly rile them up a little. She meets back with her friend who tells her that he has an idea. They start planning how to escape. Theory of Light: They work together to make the other spirits on their side to help them escape. (“I need to save my village, my parents.”) (“You remember your village? I can’t even remember my own name.”) Her friend, upon realizing she was the only one who brought an object with her and the only one who remembered anything from her life, tells her that if she successfully leaves the afterlife it will be only for a short time, and then he doesn’t know where she will end up. He begs her to stay but the plan is already in motion. Hidden Machinations: Heartbroken, the boy does his part in making sure that she can escape by changing the hidden “gears” that made the afterlife turn ever so slightly. He starts crying a little as he watches the girl and the other spirits breaking out, not knowing if he would ever see her again. The last he sees of her is when she finally broke through the threshold and disappears. Dirt and fire: The revolution is raging, and guards are rushing to put a stop to it. All seems lost until one older spirit whispers, “Dirt” Suddenly, at the memory of solid earth, their hope is remade, and it becomes their battle cry, something simple that they can never have again. It was a hard battle, but the spirits-the “dirt” side-won with the help of the boy behind the scenes. Forgotten Odes: The girl emerges into a dark, locked room, with a music sign on the floor. She starts to play on her violin, but nothing seems to work. But then, she remembers a song she played only once and got beat for it. She takes a deep breath and begins to play. Suddenly the floor drops out from under her and she falls back to the earth. Cloak and Dagger: She lands in a cornfield at night, surprisingly unhurt. She spots a farmhouse in the distance and staggers towards it, but before she can even get there a stranger steps in front of her. (“Where are you going?”) She falls in love with him immediately and when she asks where he was from he said “nowhere special” he feels himself falling for her but he’s under a curse that whoever he falls in love with suffers a terrible fate. Autumn Moon: They continue talking for quite a while under the fall moon. She begs him to warn her village and he agrees, confused. True Love’s Last Kiss: The girl can feel herself fading away, so she makes him swear one more time to save the people she loves. She then kisses him, fading as their lips touch. The man stands there for a moment alone and then begins to cry. Yearning Hearts: He travels the world searching for the village she described. He looks for it for years, finally finding it, but when he got there it was already burning. He stands in shock for a moment before snapping back into action. Suddenly music floods his ears, making the fire seem to slow down. He didn’t have time to question it, he just had time to act. The villagers were frantically dousing their homes with water trying to put out the fire. The mysterious man joined them and together they extinguished the flames. Providence: The village survives and the man becomes a hero. He eventually forgets about the girl and marries someone else. The village becomes prosperous and wealthy. Fate of the Clockmaker: The girl can’t escape her fate. She started a revolution and broke the sacred laws of the afterlife. She is captured and trapped. She fights but her captors are stronger than her and she is cursed to play forever. The Ritual: In case the spell binding her wasn’t enough to keep her contained, they do a ritual to trap her forever, enhancing the curse. She keeps her memories, making the pain of the curse even worse. You can see her playing right now, and that’s why she is crying. The Game is Afoot: The still-trapped ghosts heard what happened to her and practically turn her into a martyr, a symbol for the ongoing revolution. And now you like this comment because it took forever ✌️ Edit: okie gonna try to get a few books published then

Time’s Violin A sharp cry rang out from the string, wailing out like a newborn baby. The note spread through space, carrying with it a purifying wave of life. A second rang out immediately after, and death swept across the land. Tears rolled down the violinist's face, mourning more than just the loss of countless lives. More notes followed the first two, encompassing myriad emotions. A young child took his first steps, his parents beaming with joy and pride. Another note struck, and time flew past quickly. Hard times fell upon the young family, but they stuck together, forging an even stronger bond. One more note; the boy was now a young man. He followed his father out trading, meeting a young woman who enchanted his heart. A cry of heartbreak sounded from the violin, and another tear ran down the face of the performer. The young man returned home with his new companion and father, only to find his mother had passed while they were away on their travels, gripping the group with despair. The violinist's arm trembled, but she couldn't stop the song. The young man married his love while his father settled down, sadness gripping the aging man as he sat alone. The violin's notes played out slower, observing as the father's age grew and his health waned. A sharp, happy note struck out! A child was born of the couple, the grandchild bringing new light into the aging man's life. Slowly, slowly. The song faded, trying to hold on to the fading life of the elder. Snap! Tears streamed down the violinist's face as she furiously pounded her bow into the strings, accelerating the tragedy occurring before her. The new child grew quickly, becoming a fine young woman after just a few notes. The violinist wanted to stop, to slow down. To watch let this girl live and explore the world, to have countless adventures of her own. The song... had to go on. The young woman aged further, bidding farewell to both of her own parents before finding a partner of her own. Why? Countless more notes poured out from the violin's cradle, life and death flicked past the performer's tearful eyes. Why does this cycle have to continue? More notes, and life sped past once again. An endless cycle of growth and decay, orchestrated by the heartbreaking notes thrown forth by a single instrument. What is the meaning of this endless tragedy? Endless rivers of love, loss, and betrayal streamed past the lonely violinist, each emotion bringing tears to her eyes. And endless cycle of joy and despair; neither lingering in the air, each swept away by the next note. With each note, her emotions slowly began to fade. Birth, love, war, famine. The tears that had once stained the musician’s cheeks faded away, replaced by a dull palor. Maybe… there is none. A young man went off to war with his brothers. One note later, the once joyful young man hobbled back to his hometown, alone and propped up with one leg and a crutch. His elderly parents wept, before passing away a few notes later. The man never found joy, instead living out his lonely life deep in the woods. A bit of sadness pierced into the violinist's cold heart as she watched someone feel that same loneliness. The lonesome man slowly grew old, and his end approached. He had never sired any children and didn't gather any friends throughout his life. But... at least there is an end for him. Watching the old soldier, she knew that the next note would be his last. A new sound broke out like a thunderclap, and the nearly forgotten emotions rushed back into the musician’s head. Lying on his deathbed, the old soldier looked up into a set of deep violet eyes. I… what?!? My knuckles tightened around the violin as I stared at the old man laying in front of me. Understanding flashed through the old soldier's eyes as he gazed back up into my timeless eyes, a hint of pity surfacing in his gaze. "Thank... you." A lonesome tear ran down my face, leaving a cold trail in its wake. My hand twitched, and another note struck out. The song moved on. Tears flowed from my eyes nonstop, but I forced myself to keep them open. To witness this world before me, to understand.

Here's a little story that I came up with for the picture: She was abandoned as a child and grew up with an old grandma who taught her how to play the violin. That violin was the last memory she had of the woman who raised her. She vowed to always embrace the creativity within her and play her heart out, pouring all her feelings every time she played. She was unsure if grandma would hear her. But she would play. From dusk till dawn, The same music that her grandma passed away while listening to.

I started listening to this and this came into my mind : you look up . Gray skies , like murky waters . " i know its real " you say " it can't be a myth " , you stand up and start running up the mountain with your sword in your hand . " i have to find it , if i don't . we'll all die" you say sounding almost desperate but also sad . " we''ll all die because of *him* " you run faster , you see it . The gems , but they are guarded . You run faster and take out the guards by swiftly cutting them . The gems , are glowing a color of red , white , green , blue and purple . You grab one to be shocked by it . You get back up . take a deep breath . focus your energy and grab it . you smile in victory and put the small gems in your bag and run . you get to the bottom of the mountain , to the place where the gems used to be . You take them out and place them where they are supposed to be , according to the design colors . once all the gems are placed you watch as the murky gray skies turn a light blue and the gems energy comes out . It shoots up into the sky , causing it to become a deep blue . " beatiiful" you mumble . People start walking out to see you . A brown haired warrior drenched in blood and covered in dirt . Your green eyes close as you fall foward , expecting to hit the ground you brace yourself , only to be caught in a strong pair of arms . Your eyes open " Inei " you say with a shocked expression . You hug him . " i thought you died in the war " " i thought i was the only one left of the army " you say in a sad tone .....

Your true love is actually a master manipulator in no danger at all, and they have set up this elaborate situation as a way to trap you, but your mortal enemy saves you just as you are about to die, and they carry you away as you bleed from a possibly fatal stab wound in your side. (Or something along those lines)

Reading the denouement of ReZero's Arc 6 Web Novel with this musically immersive playlist. 52 minutes of pure ethereal ambience. Thunderous symphonies when the story is on the cusp of lull and violence, then next moment there are breathtaking melodies that play while your imagination sways mesmerized to the enthralling fantastical tune. I'm trembling from this eargasm. 7:23 That operatic voice, holy. That is the power of music. This is a transcendent experience that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Guys before you start this playlist, get a good book. I promise it'll be worth it.

Their is always a solution that doesn't require drawing our swords, we must raise our minds to a higher level like the author of this music and create new possibilities, only then will we break free of the mundane same old patterns (that lead to war, death, suffering and general bullshit) and arise to a greater understanding and outcomes! Or we can just say f'it and fight, remember the enemy is in YOUR head, but not everyones'. Killing (non-peace) in the name of peace (non-killing) is a laughable oxymoron, we don't learn from looking and remembering history, we just keep repeating it in more sophisticated ways and use clever words to justify it! As long as we know and agreed that we're fighting d/t limited understanding and unable to see a higher road or resolution d/t limited inferior thinking then go ahead and slaughter each other, but please do it somewhere where it doesn't involve the rest of us.

It could work but would make playing like 10 million times harder. You would have to rotate the bow all the time so that you can play with one side of the helix. But looking at the violin I would say that its some kind of interdimensional or time-transcendent instrument that doesn't work like normal so the helix is for playing in multiple dimensions or timelines. But I am probably just making random shit up to justify WLOP's art because i love it.

Everywhere around her smoldering ashes, smoke and flame. It was too late. Everything gone. Her beloved dead, her homeland in ruins, there was no hope left, it seemed. But as she surveyed the dying land around her, all but hope was lost to her. She took up her bow and played one last requiem to the innocent souls sacrificed in the name of hatred. As she played faint figures of light appeared as if the lost were thanking her. As suddenly as they had come, they had gone. She felt the courage to go on, honoring the ones long gone and forgotten and to save those that were not yet lost.

She was takin to play for the king, only to die once she placed her violin down and the music had stopped (because she hadn't consumed anything for weeks, she died from dehydration) She becomes a household tale, the dead girl who lived only through the life of music.

It is weird how only music has the power to make you feel emotions greater than the events from everyday life. Even if you feel powerful or inspired, music elevates it to a level we only reach in our heads when we close our eyes. What are those elements in our bodies that only music can touch, and why will we never reach the satisfaction we actually desire? It is strange that humans tend to evolve, yet there is always something bigger after it. Is it because we want more than we have, no matter how much we have, or because no matter how open minded we are, and how many things we invent, we are still thinking inside the box? I always saw life as too simple and what it turns to be, is too meaningless to me, even thought it makes sense. Maybe that is just a little part of it, and the whole life of a human is way more excited than this if you just find the "key". In case my comment makes you feel weird.

Imo the "key" you're talking about is equivalent to "enlightenment", which is basically what whole buddhism and large parts of south-east asian culture revolves around. Basically to understand anything, of which there is infinite, you need to find the key. Otherwise you don't "understand", but instead at most only "know". I would look into asian culture to find answers to these strings of questions. Aside from that, very interesting comment with good questions!

I have three questions for you, not to answer but to think about: If I am, why? If I am, how many am I? If I am, what do I want to be? It's not about the answer but about finding something. It might help you, it might not but I hope that you find what you search. P.S. I fully understand what you mean, the feeling of incompletion, the desire for more, for extremes...
