this is a literally anime opening

This really reminds me of Borges’ short story “The Garden of Forking Paths", where an infinite labyrinth exists as a novel where the audience sees all possible outcomes of an event, each creating further outcomes (i.e. events are “forking” in time). I’d like to believe the maze in the song refers to Ike’s different fates in different timelines/created by different decisions. I’d like to think we, the audience, and Ike, the character, are both grateful for experiencing the story of Ike Eveland in this particular timeline/chain of event.
