Even though i made a comment about this from my hospital room 8 years ago after surviving my brain tumor, id like to say that this song has helped me through so much and i truly am never changing who I am.

This came out when I was in 7th grade. I'm 25 now. 3:00 this is my favorite part personally. I enjoy the vocal overlap that makes it sound like a choir. Time flies enjoy the time you have and not what you don't.

I am so grateful for these musicians & the production team & the direction team & all the geniuses that brought this work to life. It's rallying me through a testing point.

End of 2012 I went through a tough mental space, went halfway across the country to Houston for 3 months as a change of scenery. It was the change I needed at the time, and ended up being a very healing time. This song was on my favorite satellite radio station all the time and has become the soundtrack of those 3 months. Anytime I hear this or Ed sheeran’s A team I instantly remember exactly how I felt then, what my car felt like, what the drive to work looked like, the streets I took, the places I passed, the way the weather felt, the apartment. 11 years ago feels like yesterday for a moment. Nostalgia is so strange.

Year is 2019 but we never forget this song

Listening to this reminds me of grade 4, when the whole class was returning from a school trip on a bus. The driver put this song on the speakers and everyone in our class remembered it from our practices in music class. We were all screaming this song at the top of our lungs. Having the time of our lives, shouting like the whole world couldn't hear us. And for four minutes, nothing else mattered. I was surrounded by friends who would leave, friends who would stay, and friends who I would remember for the rest of my life. I cherish this song and this memory to be one of the greatest moments of my childhood. Thankyou Imagine Dragons.

Listening to this reminds me of my brother’s high school graduation 7 years ago and I loved the song because it would remind me that one day I would be in his shoes walking across the stage and receiving my diploma. Now this year I’m in my final year of high school and I might not experience that. Making this song being a painful reminder of that one important moment in life that I may never get to experience 😪 Edit: For the people who miss understood, I AM ALIVE AND HEALTH, my life is not coming to an end soon!!
