I always laugh when Karak gets to the "Buy, wait for a sale, rent, never touch again" part and then gets so excited he forgets to say which one but you can just tell it was a buy. I imagine the game was breath of fresh air for him.

I just finished the game at 51 hours and I loved every minute of this game. I'm just about to start the DLC. This is one of the best game's from Ubisoft in a LONG time.

Helps games stand the test of time. Look ar Wind Waker; has it aged? Yeah. Does it still look good? Yeah. It wouldn't look as aged had the Wii U not had a remastered version, but in either case, it still looks decent due to it's style.

@@pokepe12 Exactly. Particularly hand drawn or pixel art. Look at Super Mario World on SNES, Castlevania Symphony of the Night on PS1, Capcom fighting games (SF Alpha 1, 2, and 3, MvC 1 & 2), Odinsphere. All these games still look beautiful.

My reason for preferring stylized games is that they offer a break away from realism, and with WAY more variety than anything realistic could offer. Sumi-e, Mayan crafted, Wool and Yarn based worlds, Paint based worlds. These stylized games not only had a different visual style from realistics games, but they were unmoored from realistic concepts as well. They actively used mechanics born from the aesthetic. So paintings would create effects in the world, you could unwind yarn beings or use scissors as the ultimate threat, painting things to influence things etc... Games are about interactivity and the entertainment you get from the variety and reactions from interacting with the game space. Stylized games just give me more of that.

They are removing achievements and trophies from future games and giving us the ability to get UBISOFT REWARDS. I don’t care how good their games are I won’t be buying them over this. It’s a BS tactic to force us to make accounts under them.

I don't think this game is really that much sequellable.. It's just another greek mythology, what else could it explore? Except maybe hel and some places. Except ofcourse, it follows gow footsteps, by going to other mythology

Always enjoy your reviews, they are my benchmark go to for new games. Please check the Audio editing for this one after you get to the ratings part, sounds like the audio jumps and so you may have clipped the actual rating out. As soon as I heard the music I thought it sounded similar to Ori and I felt relaxed by it. Then you said Gareth Coker and now it all makes sense. That man is a musical genius. The soundtrack for Ori and the Will of the Wisps is one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time. It’s so beautiful to listen to.

He missed the rating. In fact this is one thing he should drastically improve, state the rating in the beginning and then launch into the details; then wrap it up stating the rating again. In fact state it AND display it on the screen would be even better. Iv been following this channel for over a year now and this thing has always frustrated me. The reviews are great but they fall short on this critical element.

Maybe it's because you're not supposed to buy the game based on a x/10 scale but rather: 1. What type of game is it/is it for you 2. The quality of the various aspects of the game. This is where ACG shines. 3. Price to content ratio.

I'm late the the party here only having bought it recently, but damn, this game had me HOOKED!! Genuinely, SO much fun and it ate up so much of my time without me even noticing because I was just that immersed. I genuinely hope they make a sequel to this to tighten up just a few of those mechanics and even expand on some others, because the amount of fun and content this game offered is incredible!!

Ever since I saw the gameplay it reminds me of Valhalla and odyssey had a baby and that baby got tutored a few years by DMC5 because of the slight juggle mechanics. Immediately I really liked what I was seeing. I’m alright with cheesy dialogue and for once a game looks different and fun. I want to pick it up on release but I know UBI puts everything at sale one week after. It also helps that I seem to have a similar thought process to ACG so that’s awesome. Thanks for everything man.

@@bowenc24 Yea it's a real shame a lot of the time as you can tell the developers who actually work on the game want to make something amazing, but the big corporations who own them only care about money so force them to add BS into games like Microtransactions or stupid mechanics. So it's good to see a game like this break through from a AAA developer to show it can be done and gamers care about good games

Just picked it up and I’m 20 hours in and I love this game. Great open world, great combat, great and funny characters and great story. I loved BOTW but this may top it for me. One of the most fun games I’ve played in a long time.

I was lucky/fortunate enough to get my hands on the PS5, so I’d imagine 4K/60(ish) to be possible with the horsepower, and this games relatively light load on textures..
