None of them. From what o hear you have to do repairs constantly on your doors. I hear steve humble thinks veterans could’ve done something better with their lives than serve the country he makes money off of. He’s also a Mormon racist. As someone who worked for him I have plenty of dirt on the guy who can’t pay employees on time.

My house was built by a bootlegger around 100 years ago. There is an actual hidden room. Also, I found a number of hidden places used for storage (I bet his alcholic items. lol) They come in different sizes, one almost killed me (the largest after the secret room). Lucky I moved very fast. There is a hidden small closet, where I keep my larger firesafe and a second in front in case someone finds it. That one is located behind a door in my tornado safe room. You can bet I have zero intention of ever selling it. My daughter is waiting in line, but I plan to make it to 105.

Still trying to find the access, did find a small door on the floor, very hard to notice. I guess he used buckets. Also a second building that used to be a speakeasy with dancing girls. A 100 year old neighbor told me about it., before she died 20 years ago. A hidden room of any size is easy to notice in modern houses. However, back in the late 70's, my wife and I were in on-base housing in Ft Ritchie MD. The old (mostly identical) housing was 2 stories with 10 foot ceilings. This left a lot of space under the L shaped stairs. One of the sergeants noticed the door to this under-stairs storage was missing in his house. Rapping on the walls, he found a panel on the end wall that slid sideways on rollers. With a bit of work he converted it into a small play room for his 2 young daughters.

From experience, I can tell you that when you’re sleeping and suddenly you hear your front door being kicked in, by the time you wake up, listen to find out what you’re hearing, finally have your brain process it, react, reach for the switch/remote control, and if, by that time, you then need to stand there stupidly while your headboard raises slowly on an actuator… it’s too late for you or your family. Don’t “admire” that one. That one is just stupid.

The secret room should have access to another door and not electric but instead a way to lock manually only from the inside. A slide bolt lock, something like that....emergency stash like phone so you can call police and gun for protection. Bottles of water a little food never know what the emergency will be you know, could be rioting and looting where police may not be able to come right away.....batteries, lantern that can't be seen in any way test it out.....airbeds. etc.

The idea randomly popped in my head of wanting a secret bookcase door to my laundry room and this just gave me the nudge I needed to actually go for it. It’s an added bonus that I’ve been looking for better ideas on how to access my things in the lower part of the under-stairs storage so I don’t have to remove everything each time I need to grab something from the back. And the last thing that’s been driving me nuts are these unsightly junction boxes and fuse panel in my pantry and kitchen that I’ve been wanting to disguise… and on a separate note, I wanted to tile my pantry but it never crossed my mind to use tile as the face of an access panel!!! I’m so grateful I came across this video. What are the chances that it addressed all 3 of my major gripes with solutions I can actually accomplish with my skill level and budget.

Reminds me of Priests hiding holes in England when catholic Priests were hunted down and hanged just for saying the Mass. The carpenter/builder who built them was Nicholas Owen.

Secret storage spaces are my guilty pleasure. I would avoid anything that needed electricity to operate it for safety reasons, though.

I love the trap doors although the ones with the tiles on the wall do make me nervous although it's a neat piping system I can see a lot of crooked things happening with that Also I want to win the lottery and have secret compartment doors everywhere and walls and on the ceiling and the floor on a couple of walls how cool is that!!! Although the ones that are stores compartments under the stairs I will check those day and night with a big whopping stick just to make sure no intruder was hiding in it.

My father used to live in an apartment with his bedroom behind a wall of closets. Which made it so that it was nicely out of the way when he had parties. Not that it was really hidden though as it had it's own door to the staircase in the complex for fire safety reasons. Which removed some of the wow factor. Although when I was a kiddo, it was the coolest thing.

that first one is what EVERYONE thinks about when they think of hidden rooms and secret passage ways, an unassuming book shelf that opens into a hidden room/passage way, all the way down to the opening mechanism being a bust or a figurine, not to mention, some of the models are so much like something right out of a super spy film, if I ever had the money, I would get one of these ^_^

I really like the weapons chest. I'd need it quite a bit longer to hold swords, but I love the idea. I display decorative swords, but I keep the real ones regularly cleaned and sheathed until they are needed. The hidden headboard is actually a great idea, since nighttime protection is most often needed, and I would want something handy after being woken up. Though having those rifles seem to be overkill to me. Hah, says the person who collects real swords. Heh. I also really like the hidden, moveable basement stairs, though I would cover it with a waterproof mat if it was in the kitchen. Spills would drip down into the room. But my absolute favorites are those hidden nooks in previously unused areas, wasted little spaces. So, under stairs, hidden alcoves, etc. But I don't even have the money to do basic remodeling, much less this kind of fancy stuff. Ah well. This stuff is just super cool. Can we also appreciate the use of the word "ingenious" properly at the beginning of the video? I'm tired of people saying "genius", since that is a noun. There is no such word as "genious" as an adjective.
