I don't think the tax thing matters as quite as much as you think. California has super high taxes, but the 49ers, Chargers, and Rams can get players. Even more important and unless something has changed, you pay taxes in the state where you earned the income. So a Colts player would earn about half their salary here, but they also need to file tax returns in each state they made income in. I am a lawyer, not an accountant so please correct me if I am wrong.

@BlackstoneVideos

and exactly who would you have suggested that we picked up? The talent wasn't where it should have been, and honestly the QBs that we picked up should have been able to step right in. Carson Wentz.. Everybody loved this trade when he came. We thought he was the future. He was just a few plays away from taking us to the playoffs. Phillip Rivers... Turned out really well in my opinion. If he didn't retire, he would have definitely would have been around another season. Matt Ryan... On paper, this worked. Reality, he didn't have the physical prowess to continue in the NFL.

It's a long-game alright. Year 8, what's the plan? Oh ok, so let's start with no playoff level secondary, suspect wide receiving corps, Edge rush by committee, and a bad committee to boot. Assuming first 3 picks take QB, which is likely… If Arizona trades back and someone moves up at 4 to grab a QB, Colts should find a way to get up to 5. Chargers need a RB, JT wanted out last year… ended up getting a deal done. We’ve sent two HOF running backs to LA in the past, Dickerson and Faulk with the LA/STL Rams. Send JT to LA Chargers and swap picks, get more if possible. Draft MHJ at 5. Richardson, Pittman, MHJ, Downs, Pierce, our line is in good shape. Find a RB and TE to develop and you have a young, cheap, very athletically talent offense.
@KINDAtheexpert7608

Noooo wayyyy we get rid of JT. I see your logic there, but JT is STILL and CAN BE a top 3 rb in the league, if not number one. HIM and AR5 in the backfield just those 2 STRIKE FEAR in ANY opposing defensive game plan. Can u IMAGINE the rpo game next yr? Also, I’m all for your trade up for MHJ, and I REALLY THINK it could happen, given the position we’re in with a STUD qb on a rookie contract. NOOO WAYYY JT leaves Indy tho, he wants to be here. Holders dumbass was the one who said he wanted “out” which is not true whatsoever.

@jacobatillery Місяць тому
@@KINDAtheexpert7608 AR and JT are going to be lethal and fun to watch together, no doubt about that. Having JT can ease the pressure of AR needing to do it all. There is Only One Champion at the end of the season... Look at the change from the Frank Reich era to Shane Steichen!!! This team is ready to compete NOW!!! How quickly we forget just how close this COLTS team is. Our offense improves immensely under Steichen, and... That was with Minshew at QB the majority of the season. Our defense is solid. It doesn't really matter who they get because the NFL is scripted and all of the games are predetermined. They can make Indy a contender if they want but Indy is not in a huge market so right now they've taken a backseat to other teams they've decided to push. Eventually Indy will get a playoff push but who knows how long it will take. In the AFC the Steelers are one of the teams with the biggest markets so they are always in the playoffs. The NFL just shuffled players around in order to give the Steelers 2 legitimate QBs but Indy was stuck with trash for 5 years at the QB position after Luck retired because they are not in a big market. They just changed some tackling rules because they need to have an excuse as to why there're so many blown tackles by multi-million dollar players who are supposed to be the best tacklers in the world. There was Noone that was a+ talent in free agency so he was smart not to sign any.. And I don't believe we offered Hunter more money thats just the reporters hearing a lie and posting it for clicks and etc.. That don't even sound right Ballard wanting to spend Alot on the d end when it's not a need.. Smh! Ppl gotta think man! But that's exactly y Ballard's the gm and not everyone that got something to say.. I just got finish saying this.. It's not gd to have to go get players from other teams period! Especially multiple players.. And players with a big name! Because if you have to go get other players that other teams let go or didn't wanna pay that means you have Alot of holes on your roster that you now have to HOPE that this new player can produce like the one you let go or didn't wanna pay.. And if the ayer has a big name then more likely he's on the back end of his career so the other team didn't wanna take a chance on him(so y should Ballard take that gamble).. I wouldn't! And if they take that chance on the player not only do they have to HOPE the player produce equal to the player they lost but they also have to put more pressure on coaches to teach harder so they learn the scheme before season and you have to HOPE the player can b smart enough to learn the scheme before season.. Well damn that's a hell of Alot u have to have to HOPE for so u don't get fired.. Lol.. Continuity and consistency is key to winning superbowls or have a dominant team regardless just like Polian did in the 2000s with Peyton and etc..
