As a native American my personal thought is critical race theory is teaching racism

A supporter of critical race theory had mentioned “It is too complicated for parents”. So how can this be understandable to children?

I was an educator for 38 yrs. Teach reading, writing and arithmetic. CRT has no business in school.

More than ever people need to understand that THEY should educate their children NOT the government.

Speaking as a former educator myself, the black so-called "educator" is extremely pompous and condescending. Hand-picked choices aren't "diversity".

That dude is a joke. He's literally saying she's too dumb to understand "sophisticated" people like himself. In the meantime he works to remove all moral barriers from society.

My principal asked me why I wasn’t teaching my kids this stuff as an 11th grade English teacher. I was chased out for not teaching this garbage.

Isn't it amazing how many dark-skinned people that come here from Africa become successful in what they go for.. they don't claim to be repressed they don't claim that people are being racist against them or any of the general jargon that we hear and have been hearing ever since I can remember.

I agree with Mary H. I too am an educator and I value the opinions and concerns of my students' parents. Over the span of 19 yrs., I've seen what it takes to lead a student to success. It takes the parents, the teachers, the administrators and counselors, and the student all working together for the child to reach his or her full potential. I realize and tell parents all the time that I am only one piece of the puzzle. I encourage them to limit TV and video games so they have time to read to their child, help with homework, talk about what their child learned that day or what he/she enjoyed most about their day, spend quality time outside, play math games and word study games...just be involved. I have an open door policy where parents are always encouraged to visit the classroom, read aloud to the class, help with writing assignments, play a math game with the children, etc. I want my students to know that we all work together to help them reach their full potential. The children who have no support at home truly suffer academically, emotionally and socially. Parents must realize how important they are to their children's future. As far as CRT goes, I am opposed to it because it divides our nation. When teaching about the Civil War and slavery in the 4th grade, I was truthful. I taught about the horrors of slavery but also about the abolitionists who were opposed to slavery and helped navigate slaves to safety. I taught the children that there is always evil in the world, but there is also good, regardless of race, religion or gender. It's the person's character that counts. Does the left ever mention this? I also taught about states rights. I taught the children that as horrible as our historical past may be, we have to acknowledge it so we learn from it and not repeat it. Why doesn't the left focus on the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? He promoted equality and peace...not racism and division.

This is rare time when I am glad that I have no children. But, It`s clear to me, the parents who raised them know what`s best for them. If I had kids of own my, I would say this teaches them to hate their parents! That can`t be good for the family unit.

I'm a old white male and if they keep teaching what they are teaching, THEY just might get a first hand look at white rage. This is going to backfire on them.♥️🇺🇲

I had a small business. I bought from outside vendors depending upon product quality and their service. I hired people based on experience, talent, and attitude. Once hired raises were given based on merit. I prospered, my employees prospered, and my vendors had all our business for as long as their quality was sustained. We were all happy.

Parents have an absolute right to know what is being taught in the classroom. There should be cameras in the classrooms so parents can see what is being taught.The taxpayers are paying your salary and they should see how it is spent.

Here's an educator's mandate: teach kids to be decent human beings, don't put anyone down for their differences and learn how to read, write do math and earn a living. That's it.
