Fifteen years ago, Ronald Reagan was laid to rest. The 40th president of the United States had Alzheimer’s, which he made public in 1994, and died at 93. Former heads of state attended the services for Reagan, who helped bring down the Iron Curtain and eventually end the Cold War. Among the guests were former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Prince Charles and former Soviet Union leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville also attended with her friend Joan Rivers. #InsideEdition

@Robert Manders You don't know what the hell you're talking about. Reagan became president during a recession he inherited from Carter. He turned it around real quick. Brought the Soviets to the table and ultimately lead to the fall of the iron curtain. Rebuilt our military in the process. Hell the 90's were so good because of Reagan and Bush Sr. Reagan's economy averaged 4.6% growth for most of his presidency. Numbers not seen since.
@ryant114
@ryant114 5 років тому
And yes I meant the 90's. Clinton inherited a tax flow from Bush falling on the sword and raising taxes when he said he wouldn't. Also later in Clinton's presidency he got even more tax revenue from alittle something called the internet. The 80's were just as good as well. More than two decades of prosperity from Reagan's economic policies.

Ms reagan looks so sad, but also so relieved to know the confusion he faced and difficult times him and their family faced, was finally at peace. I cannot fathom nor imagine being president of the US, win the most electoral votes in history, and know u were an important person and feel that places were important, and have 0 clue as to why u feel this way, its like that with love as well, theres many alzheimers patients who forget their kids etc, but they tell them idk why i love u, but i feel this incredible sense of love and all ik is thats ok. Alzheimer's is such a tragic disease (edit, maybe saying relief is too strong of a word to use, idk exactly how she would feel, but i imagine through all the sorrow there is some peace knowing you, your children, and your husband no longer have to suffer and see what this terrible disease does to incredibly strong and impressive men and women
