@Rob despicable. A worthless excuse of a man. I speak Italian and I heard the radio communication between the cost guard commander Gregorio Di Falco and Captain Schettino. He ordered him to get back on the ship immediately and he did so using very strong language. I mean, he ripped Schettino another asshole, including calling him a spineless coward and get the fuck back on board. He did not get back on the ship and was one of the first to arrive on land. A Giglio officer offered to get a dinghy to get back on board but he declined. He is currently serving a 16 year prison sentence.

So this really is the most courageous lost place video ever. My hat is off to you and thank you for not let us forget what happened, and the way officials don´t like to share information and visible proof about the facts. ROOKTABULA: Oh fuck off with your anti-wealth bullshit. Considering that in most countries the wealthy pay more taxes in one year than the poor do in multiple lifetimes, I think they deserve a vacation every now and again. Especially since it's the poor that are such a drain on the economy versus the wealthy funding governments. You think the poor paid the most for the roads they use, the schools they destroy, the hospitals they abuse? No. They are doing it on someone else's dime, mainly the wealthy and middle class. I don't expect anyone to forfeit things they enjoy just because "the poor". If you can't shame the poor for their awful spending habits (TVs, Phones, Expensive care over saving, investing, or buying health insurance) then you can't shame the wealthy and middle class for enjoying the fruits of their labor either. The Costa Concordia is/was such a beautiful vessel. I truly feel sorry for all of the passengers that had to go through this. It must have been a frightening experience.... I've personally seen this beautiful ship on the inside and remember thinking it looked a bit garish or flashy. (typically Italian if you will) But seeing it now, like this. After what has happened... To all who had to endure the final moments on the cc. I hope you are doing well now.

I believe the shots are from an official person connected with the salvage for the purpose of documentation etc. Some shot were purposely staged, such as the wine bottles on the bar and a few other shots. I believe the scrapping of the ship is well under way, if not almost done.

Disaster aside... I can't get over how hideous the interiors of this ship are. It's like something from the 80's...
@bgdrewsif
@bgdrewsif 2 роки тому
I was thinking the EXACT same thing... if I had to use one word to describe the interior decor of this ship it would be "gawdy"... it is an appalling mish-mash os 80's/saved-by-the-bell, art deco, fantasy/harry potter, and a random motel 6 off of some highway in the midwestern USA... I've seen a lot of video from inside the ship before it was ruined and every room and public space is not classy or elegant, its just chintzy and tacky and gawdy...

Although I want to say rest in piece those that lost their lives, 32 souls not forgotten, but can we take a moment to say thank you to the ship builders who spent many years putting together a ship that did save thousands considering the damage to her hull.
