Also his comments about the women’s veil were ignorant, it’s not because they’re veiled that the men want them to keep quiet and not speak. They’re just following their religion. Here in Australia, we had an amazing doctor, Fred Hollows, that conducted eye surgery for free in Indigenous communities. I thought about that in regards to this community....but thought No, these people have found balance. Would bringing 'our world ' to them Really make them happier?

If you look into it,the people are begging to not be forgotten and not helped..they cant get medicine ,good knives ,hardly nothing

@@realdjtoddthunder1323 I find it's a real conundrum. I would never begrudge people health services, clean water, education etc if those things would bring a safe and happy life. I guess my concern, is that with that comes 'the rest'. Would the fabric of their society break down and be forever changed? How would they adapt to 'our' way of living....considering the challenges of consumerism, alcohol, fair wage discrepancies, aged care.......the list is endless. Many of our Indigenous communities are damaged beyond repair. I wish I had the answers.

The probably need to renew their gene pool, congenital glaucoma or trachoma will just keep getting passed on to the next generation
