This video will show you how to install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware. This does not just include fresh installs but can be upgraded from Windows 10 as well. I upgrade a system that fails all the controversial hardware requirements. It doesn't support TPM, UEFI, or have a CPU on the approved list and it runs great.

Switch bases to Decimal Now you need these: BypassRAMCheck, Data base = 1 BypassTPMCheck, Data base = 1 BypassSecureBootCheck, Data base 1. Now Begin setup. NOW IT WORKS EXACTLY FINE!

Windows terminal missing is actually quite common with in-place upgrades, even on supported hardware, I've got a 3950x system that upgraded itself to windows 11 Pro and windows terminal did not work. Remember, if you are fine with wiping everything out, or if you have a boot drive, and a data drive, you can generally just do a fresh install windows 11 from an un-modified ISO, as long as your computer has 2 threads, 4GB of RAM, and i think an 80GB HDD? I have windows 11 on an IBM Thinkpad X60 Tablet which originally shipped with Windows XP, but because it has an early 64 bit Core Duo with 4GB of RAM(only 3GB usable) windows 11 just installed without issue, now getting drivers to work was harder than expected, normally XP drivers just worked in windows 10, but with windows 11 i had some issues with the pen-touch screen and a few other things that i dont remember off the top of my head

My 10 year old PC ran windows 11 just fine and even had it running the day it was released. Only issues I had was with windows assuming I had uefi bios when it kept trying to run scan disk at startup after a power outage. There were fixes for this issue but it required some specific software booted from usb to scan the disk and reset the flag on the drive. I recommend using windows on systems at least with a uefi bios as it causes fewer issues with my testing

The oldest system I've had Windows 11 running was on an AMD Athlon II X2 255 from 2010. I did a clean install using DISM /Apply-Image, a workaround that doesn't ask any questions or check system requirements. You can't upgrade an existing Windows 10 installation that way though, so this video shows that it's not impossible to do an upgrade on unsupported hardware even if there are more steps involved.

I think theres a much easier way to do this - worked for me a few months ago to u/g my win10pro to win11 - after downloading the win11 installer to USB, look for the \sources folder and delete the file "appraiserres.dll" - then when you run setup DON'T allow it to download updates during the install/upgrade (otherwise it re-downloads the check file and tells you you're unsupported again) - your system should upgrade fine - when its done you can use windows update as normal. works fine on my amd 6100 with no tpm etc and a couple of other older laptops. your mileage may vary, but I've had no probs.

@@CyberCPU Really?! When I bought a Win laptop - just for the odd time I'd need Windows - it took me two days to remove bloat and remove their "phone home" functionality. Then it tried to push an "update" on it which the poor 2GB/32GB machine couldn't swallow. In the meantime it's COMPLETELY eaten the 10 - 12 gigs it came with (after clearing it out) for no apparent reason. I'd have to hack the thing to keep it functional. Now it starts up with some blue screen, "persuading" me to update. But I've given up on it. I got my Linux machine, fired it up and that was basically it. Just a few apt's to get my beloved apps back. Updating is done while I'm working - and I can postpone it whenever I want. My wifes corporate laptop though FORCED her to upgrade. We left it for 24h, but it never revived. She had to get back to work (1.5h commute one way) to get a fresh one - in the height of the pandemic (sic!) So at my home, Windows track record of "being easy to use" - let alone "being reliable" - is pretty bleak.

@@HansBezemer What you probably experienced with the way Windows handles memory is reserved memory. When you open an application that application obviously takes memory. Then when you close the application Windows leaves that application in memory and marks it reserved. This is so if you open the same program again it doesn't have to put the program in memory again. If that memory is needed for something else then Windows releases it. It's actually a pretty ingenious system. I explained it in my videos about sysmain a while back.

The question many of us have and have yet to see anyone really explain it is what exactly makes Windows 11 so much better than Windows 10 that we should even bother upgrading? It requires all this BS just to install it and all its other BS hardware requirements and from what I have seen does not really offer anything substantial to justify going through the pain to upgrade! Seems to me the reason no one is doing a side by side comparison is because there really isnt one! So I ask you CyberCPU Tech, what the hell is so damn special with Windows 11 that would compel me to suffer the installation of it?

Windows 11 is much better than Windows 10 for the only reason that it has an expiry date of 2031 while Windows 10 will expire in 2025. That is why one should change, unless you are keen to replace computers that work well just to follow the last computer trend. Besides everything that runs on Windows 10 will run on 11, just the desktop enviroment is different, as like many linux distros differ one from another.

Hi. Nice to see that UKposts reconsidered their decicion about this vid. I was planning to install Win11 in my new SSD but I won't. The reason? As you well said, their system requirements suck. And now they're threatening to fill your screen with watermarks in case your system is not compatible. They can shove their threats up where they see fit. How much does it cost to get a compatible PC? W're talking about a processor, mobo and memory (if you decide to keep your other parts). And let's not mention the price of the license, because the win10 license is tied to your actual hardware, and new hardare means a new license key. So I'll stick to my good old reliable win 10. 😁😁

I haven't paid for Windows since Windows 7 release. Free upgrade to Windows 8, free upgrade to Windows 8.1, free upgrade to Windows 10 and now free upgrade to Windows 11. I use a Pro version though, not sure if hardware rules are different. Because I have used it on different hardware. Else a Windows Pro license key can be had for about $40 on various websites.

Just get 11 pro ISO, create it bootable on a drive and try it out... just do it offline. If it doesn't pan out then you're not out anything but time and you still have your new SSD waiting for another install, or backup, or clone what you already got... either way. Not gonna know until you try.

I feel like some of those requirements are so in a future update once Win 10 is retired they can "Upgrade" Win 11 with features that do depend on those hardware requirements and use them.
