Creating a new presentation requires a lot of effort, they just recycle last years presentation, and replaced iphone 13 instead of 12, and A15 instead of A14. Done. Hopefully if less people upgrade we could solve the chip shortage so I could buy a resonable priced graphic card.

@@koksalan75 I actually held both in my hand and they felt such high end devices that I was amazed. They also looked much better in person. I don’t need a new phones now, but I can see why I would want one in the future. They aren’t made for your average joe who just scrolls facebook and instagram, they are for people who take full advantage of their devices at their full potential. I agree that we don’t *need* foldables, but it is nice to know that they can be an option. I can see myself opening up the big display at night while sitting in bed and watching youtube or a series and then throwing it in the pocket the next morning. Cheers!

@Pete Kao BL Series 100 million nanometer process, larger battery by 10%, bigger screens by 17%, 72 cores, and the consciousness of Elon Musk in the CPU. Translation… same real world functionality as the last 3 years. I used to defend apple just like you….but the main reason people used to care about seeing an iPhone yearly was to get a reason to upgrade. Missions not accomplished this year.

Most iPhone changes have been minor since the X. Remember when the 11 came out and everyone was like hurr durr it's the XS with an extra ultra wide. I don't know why anyone is surprised. If anything people should be happy that this year is finally a complete iPhone with all major headlining features we expect (good cameras, good display with 120hz, good battery life, good chipset) whereas previous years were all missing one or more of those things.

yeah when you think apple can't be more boring. yes they still make lots of money and sell a lot and yes phone industries has matured, but the sheer greediness and laziness really just ....yeah we are not even asking for groundbreaking feature like Steve era , but just reasonable feature. they have OLED, they have 120HZ, but they can't give you AOD they can give Touch ID on millions of iPad, but god forbid they put it on iPhone.

I feel most iPhone events in the past few years have been stagnant. The 120Hz Display and Focus puller in post production with cinematic mode got me a little excited though.

Truly incredible, how proud they are with all the things they're too late for. Edit: I was very tired when I wrote that. What I meant to say is that they're too proud of very slightly upgrading all the small things that matter the least. It's like they're really intentionallu taking their time before they make something perfect, but until then, they'll always sell you something only a little cooler than last year. By the time they do make that "perfect" iPhone, all other brands would've already done it first.

Honestly thinking about switch back to Android. Android has USB C, Face and Finger ID, bigger battery, downloadable apps from the internet and bigger storage at a cheaper price.

@@Noah-hx9oi I switched from a xsmax to an s21 this year and haven't regretted it apple has had the same phone since 2017 meanwhile android has been innovating each year and after being with apple for 7 years I made the switch and won't look back unless apple catches up to android which will be a while

I have 6s, xr and 11 pro max (all bought used :D) and still use 6s for fun and I love colors on that display. But xr is really great upgrade over 6s, getting much more of display and longer lasting battery. wanted to go with 11 cuz night photography but its not that great. But wide lens is really useful sometimes (tele is really not that great :/ its only there for 3 cameras premium apple look).

For example, apple only focuses on faceid and pin for security while androids have in-display fingerprint scanner, that alone gives more background processing for androids. I can go on and on but you get the gist..
