i love how iphone 6 design has been an icon to represent smartphones

upgraded 2 days ago from an 8 to 14. not really wanted to do it because my 8 still performs well even after 4 years, but the small storage is causing me problems. It’s crazy how these phones are still very usable despite released years ago.

I'm sure the 6 would be much faster on whatever iOS version it launched with. I wonder how it'd compare to the 14 then.

I have SE 1st gen and it’s powered by A9 chip . Im pretty sure it’s much more faster than A8 still in 2023 without any problem. The gap between A8 and A9 is huge

I gave my mum my 6S Plus after getting myself a 12 mini in August 2021. She still uses it and it is pretty slow now, but for a phone that came out 8 years ago it holds up surprisingly well. I plan to try and get her an iPhone 14 for her birthday this month if I can though :)

Despite everything, I feel like the iPhone 6s is still usable in 2023, it is a very good phone and still have the headphone jack port. Of course, you cannot compare a phone that was released seven years ago to a phone that was released a couple months ago. However, I do feel like you can still use an iPhone 6s today if the battery is in good condition and you have enough storage to update to IOS 15.7

I find hilarious that I had this two phones and loved em, funny how technology innovation went unnoticed for most people on the last few years

I have a 6s. These are two VERY different phones. What's the use of comparing them with minimal tasks that justify nothing? I've been pushing my 6s to the max now for just years. Time to get a 14 pro.

I have an iphone se 2nd gen and it works really fast despite its size and old design, don't underestimate old phones especially iphone models, iphone 7 plus for example still runs smooth but if you have one i think it's time for a change

I think the 1gb of RAM is the main bottleneck, why the old iphone is so slow. Perhaps some of those apps consume the whole RAM.

Im not sure, if you should compare this two generations. I have 6s plus as new, 8years and still it is good mobile, but you cant compare speed betwen 2 and 6 gb ram and absolutly different processor, display…6s plus is still good mobile, only one reason if you should buy newest mobile gadget, if you want newest apple watch, maybe secure to the future, beckause last ios update is 15. … but some little updates are still downloadable… i update to the 14 pro and it is so big different, but 6 is still good mobile, but evolution you can feel from every side.

I used my iPhone 6 plus in 30 July 2020 until now the device is unusable and when the battery is At 5% the phone is very laggy even more and when I plugged in the phone, it doesn't be laggy but when I unplug it again it's slow same thing, I now use Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 5g and bought it since 16 June 2023. also if I had iphone 6s plus, it would be good but instead I got that phone and color being space Grey for 6 plus is my favorite and I like it

Not quite a fair test ... we're talking iPhone 6 compared to their latest phone. Not forgetting that you are comparing the PRO line-up . A fairer test would be the 6 plus vs standard 14 or a later phone such as the 11 or 12 up against the 14 pro

I think the low amount of ram is really affecting it and that's also probably why Androids from the same era appear faster today
