I have had my pixel 8 pro for over a month now and I must say I'm really enjoying it. I definitely recommend this phone. Great Cameras and great Signal and awesome performance. This Tensor 3 chipset is not too bad. They've optimized it pretty well so far and it's getting better and better.

Guys guys it's not about speed anymore. It's all about the software finish, promises made by the company and hardware quality. Smartphones are at the peak age where speed is similar to each other.

Initially,I thought the the A17 pro silicon will demolish the Tensor G3 by far but am happy atleast the G3 somehow stood out in the last minutes. My another cry, if you don't mind, could you run the overclocked S gen 2 for galaxy against the best of Google and apple. I'll appreciate. Even tho some phone opens app faster, doesn't mean it'll game or edit 4k video (render) faster.....app opening speed and actual sustained peak performance are different thing

I got the Pixel 8 Pro, speed is good. But the scrolling in some apps just sucks. So many stutters, even in their own apps like UKposts. That should def. be better on a flagship phone imo. Coming from a Oneplus 7 Pro i did NOT feel a big stepup at all in terms of speed or fluidity.

I don't understand the point of these speed test these days. You can turn off duration, window animation scale on pixel and it will be faster. Maybe gaming I understand

The pixel is alright , i would have probably deducted a point or two for the finger print sensor and Face ID, in dim light and darkness the Face ID is utterly useless, and the finger print sensor in my use is hit and miss at best , annoyingly you’ll seem to get a run of successful finger print activations, and then it will fail 50% of the time , time after time , with the Face ID sometimes taking up the slack. Google should have spent more coin on at least one of them imo. The iPhone Face ID by comparison gets it right 99.99999% of the time even in pitch darkness. My guess this is why the pixel is cheaper , it’s all about the hardware. As for being the smartest phone , I use my iPhone and rarely get annoying pop ups , on the pixel this surprisingly seems to happen more often , maybe it’s not the pixel but an android thing? but on the whole I still prefer using my iPhone 14 PM .

All of the comments believing the iPhone is better has no idea how this stuff works, just like the person doing this "test". Not all apps are optimized for the purpose of being lightning quick. In short, get the iPhone if you like simplicity, get the pixel (android) if you have the knowledge to actually make use of a smart phone.

Looks like trying give pixel the most possible points 😂 iphone keeps the way it is left on the screen during RAM test where pixel just refresh again and again but it just got points 😅 normally when we open apps simultaneously we all wish to see exactly where we are at the last time on the app. If the phone refresh over time, it will be really annoying for most of the time. 😂 It will be fair to compare A14 and Tensor 3, but I bet a14 will win it thou

I dont think i can trust Google for a while after using the Pixel 6 Pro, so I'll go with the 15 Pro Max, which is what i have anyways. Great phone, had it since launch. And i cant speak for the rest of the world but in the US, the Pixel is only like $200 less than the iphone with half the storage (i dont count black friday deals) and they also depreciate in cost super quick.

To begin with, I don't see how and why these 2 devices (especially the Pixel 8 Pro), would be the top choices of this holiday season 🤷🏽‍♂️ The S23 Ultra, OnePlus 11, Xiaomi 13 /14... exist. It's true that the 15 Pro Max lowered its brightness very early in the test, but it's clearly 2 times more powerful than this Pixel 8 Pro, I wonder what this Pixel 8 Pro will do in 3-4 years, given that it's already clearly 2-3 years behind its direct competition 🤔
