@@bigpthedawg1970 Lets walk down memory lane here for a minute. In 2016 UGA signed a QB who was considered either 1 or 2 at the position by all scouting services. He was also a top 10 national prospect by all scouting services except for ESPN. Thats Jacob Eason. He won the starting job as a sophmore in 2017 after a shaky true frosh season and was injured on a late hit during the season opener. From there Fromm came in and essentially stole the job from him. Fromm then lead the team to the National Championship game as a true frosh. Justin Fields then as the #1 or #2 QB prospect depending on what scouting service you look at, committed to UGA weeks after a true frosh had just led that same school to the NC game. He was destined to transfer the moment that happened. Fromm wasn't great at UGA but he was never bad enoiugh to outright lose his job. He also never struck me as an NFL level talent so I saw an entire 4yr Aaron Murray type career possibly unfolding for him, which would've meant either Fields transferred or waited until his SR year to be the starter. Fields looked very uncomfortable as a passer in the short spurts he saw the field at UGA. The statement about Ohio State QBs is very true. I don't care where he was recruited first, in fact no one cares about that. Do we say Baker Mayfield started at Texas Tech, or Kyler Murray started at A&M, or Russell Wilson started at NC State, the only school that puts a claim on a highly drafted QB who may likely be a star is Ohio State with Joe Burrow. He also pays homage to his Ohioan roots which doesn't really make it nefarious. Fields is Ohio State's product as a football player. I like the kid and I hope he does well but throughout the years, after a number of different types of QBs have come through Ohio State none of them and I do mean none of them have ever been good in the NFL. Since 1955 OSU has had 18 QBs drafted. Of those 6 never played in the NFL. 1 spent most of his career as a punter (Tom Tupa) and another moved to WR before completely disappearing from the league altogether (Terrelle Pryor). The QB with the most starts from OSU in the NFL is undrafted Mike Tomzcak, he had 73. Then it's Kent Graham at 38, Terrelle Pryor at 30 then there's a 3way tie between aforementioned punter Tom Tupa, Bobby Hoying and get this Dwayne Haskins at a whopping 13! After a tumultuous 2yrs Haskins is tied for 4th all time for most NFL starts for an OSU QB. Depending on where he's drafted and how soon he plays Fields could very well move in to 4th all time by himself next season, SMH.

Cause who else did they have that was a high draft pick besides tua? Two completely different things.

I get what you saying but it's been at least a thing on the internet for a year even before Haskins was drafted. But that theory is not founded on anything solid because OSU has had a lot of talented college QB's but none of them were thought to be NFL Franchise QB's besides Haskins so the myth and stigma that goes along with it is unjustified.

The Miami story is overhyped and really the bigger issue is with how the transition from Fitzpatrick to Tua was handled. If the decision was Fitz was the starter and Tua would be tested out to start in a couple of games then the whole story wouldn’t even exist.
