This is one of my favorite tanks in the entirety of the world of tanks, Don't disrespect my boy, he's capable of far more than you think. Capable of scouting and sniping, and so mobile. No hulldown position is too tall for it. And if it doesn't have to hulldown the DPM is sublime. If you're good at it you can time the mode switches with the reload and get both DPM and accuracy at the same time.

Here's one trick I taught myself with Kunze Panzer: Aim in the Sniper mode -> Fire -> Immediately switch to Travel mode -> Wait until your reload is sub 2s -> Switch to Sniper mode (react as fast as possible) -> When the modes are switched, you are loaded (with the DPM of the Travel mode). Do this only when you won't get spotted when firing, or you can be exposed for 2s. Basically: Sniper -> Fire -> Press X-> wait till 2s -> Press X -> Repeat. The result is you have the better accuracy, but the DPM is bad only in the first 2s of the reload time. For example, let's say your reload in Sniper mode is 10s and in the Travel mode it's 7.5s. The first 2 seconds reload are taken from the 10s in Sniper mode, so 20% of the reload. The rest of the 80% are done in the Travel mode, so you will reload for extra 0.8 * 7.5 = 6 s. So in total you reload is 8 s. The DPM comparison is as follows: Travel mode: 3120 Mixed: 2925 Sniper: 2340 I think the effort is worth it 😆 Edit: 2925 is the theoretical max DPM you can squeeze out of this tactic with the said reload times. We are humans, so we can't react on the spot to switch EXACTLY when it's fired and EXACTLY at the 2.00 s left reload time. Also, if you are on a ridge and will get shreded, if you wait for 2s stationary, you have to hide a bit and then switch. So the DPM in practice will be around 2.7 - 2.8k. Still, better than the 2340 in the Sniper mode.

I think it is pretty even with the Leo. The leo has more alpha, more pen and better dpm. But i feel there is nothing better than siegemode gunhandling and accuracy. Combine that with -15 depression you can sit on the most disgusting spots and silly bushes no other tank can play. Combine it with the insane ammount of camo the tank has and it becomes way better at being able to find shots compared to the leo. And even pick up a scouting role. I know people in the comments will share this "Swap in and out of siegemode" after shooting. But if your spotted it will make you a sitting duck. It is better to just respect your dpm loss and rather focus on your next shot as the 10 sec reload is just enough to get unspotted anyways and also does not get you into awkward situations where you have to reaim cause your siege mode depression resets. For me it felt way more comfortable to play it as a TD first and become a fast medium when the time comes to clean up the enemy from closer range.

Totally forgot this tank has siege mode. I never use it and it seems like a decent tank

My personal best choice is the AE Phase I for the Token tanks. It has amazing 340mm pen HEAT combined with -10 gun depression. Also, turret rotation is really fast.

In the battle pass 2023 I bought this tank and oh boy I couldn't get a grip of it since the "siege" mode made it very complicated for me to make this tank work and I sold it due to the frustration of how should I play with it BUT since you mentioned in 2:15 it is just better to play without "siege" mode I might reconsider getting it back and try to make it work again. To submit this tank is very situational.

I find that the kunze cannot fight in the front it makes it far more difficult to do good with it! If you stay mid range 1/2 between tds and heavies use its camo and dpm its hilarious

I love the Kunze. As you said I use it without siege mode most of the time. I only use siege mode in rare situations when I NEED more depression to use a certain position that I have no other choice at the time. It’s a good tank with a niche feature that it keeps in its back pocket for rare occasions.

I love it. Never used the siege mod. 3000+ dpm. Fast, small target.

For me kunze is alright, i like that it gives you options, so you can snipe or go in and engage more. Of course it's not udes 03 accuracy when you snipe, but i like the standard ammunition for sure. It sure makes you think more about what you are doing, but i think that sometimes i need a tank which forces me to concentrate. When i played on leo PTA i surely had a bit worse crew, but damn i could not stand this tank. When I'm comparing it to other tanks, it really falls behind, which was quite an unwelcome surprise. The gun trolled me more than on kunze, plus kunze is also a fast tank and a bit smaller. Great video Skiel, please keep up your great work!

Not a great Kunze player here, but what is often not mentioned is the small size of the the tank, which apart from great camo value has its own drawbacks and benefits.

I'm currently trying to play it and do field enhancements, equipment and crew often gets damaged in pairs like turret and loader or gun and driver, really fragile and the gun acts like it have a tantrum and forgot where the center is. "-8k in 2 minutes" battles are turning currently a fun into ordeal. Maybe not bad tank, but certainly not for everyone and you really have to learn to play it. Congratulations to everyone who 3 marked it.

Personally I enjoy the Kunze, its fast, good scouting potential and 15 degrees of Gundepression to play positions other tanks just can dream of. The siege mode needs time to get used to put with the field mods accuray in the dpm mode is fine and in slow long range fights the accuracy is great. Only downside for the Kunze is that PTA is better imo but still great vehicle

Would be nice if we can get trial runs with, if not all but most tanks especially the higher tiers without downloading the test server. As skill says even if many players love the tank if even skill a great player has a hard time making some tanks work, it would be more difficult for more casual players to figure out the tanks.

I 3marks all t9 medium tank this kunz / leo pta/ standar b/ skoda t50 / wz120 ectectect, so thiskunz was the hardest to play and to make it work , but when you know how to play , it was a very good tank to play

when i need an accurate shot i go in siege mode. than immediately i switch out of it. or, i need some extra gundepression i go in siege mode. very very nice tank.

I'm curious, so you said without siege mode you have 7 secons reload, and with mode on you have 10 secons , what if you play the tank like udes 03? . If you are in siege mode and you fire, if you instantly off the mode is your dpm increase from that second?

Depression and angles are the new meta. I wish the gun had a faster load or a magazine.

Hey Skill, i haven'tplayed to many battles in kunze and i am for sure not the best player in wot but for me it worked when i looked at it like i look on HWK30. Sure you don't have the light tank benefit n camo on Kunze bt camo is not to bad. you also are fast even for a medium and you have a good view range. So if there are no light tanks in a battle (and it happens to be no tier8 with Bourasque) then you can go on spotting . other than this, keep out of harms way and yes, forget on siege mode unless your snipping from 3rd line

Kunze loves handbrke turns on hills, use it to get into position quicker.

Kunze actually has very good camo. I played with scouting build on Prok and got 10k spotting. It feels like a tier 9 Sheridan with slightly worse speed and gun handling but better pen

I LOVE Kunze ! I play him with full spot Setup. Exp. Optics, CVS and Bounty Exhaust System. Kunze is 3marked and he is my Spot record holder of 16722 on Prokhorovka. Try to play him with Spot Setup. different experience! Commander is King Baboon with Baboon Skin on this beauty of a tank.

Another thing about the siege mode is that you only get gun depression in the front of the tank.

You're a tourist with this tank. Go to siege mode, fire. Return into fast mode, until you're 2 seconds away from reloading then click siege mode. That way you're increasing your DMP while in siege mode.

Kunze has great speed and camo for a medium tank, even has better camo than some light tanks, has a great gun, its nimble, its small even smaller than some light tanks. It can change flanks anytime it wants to, it can snipe. Its a beautiful tank

I found it fun to play with vstab, rammer and exp turbo. Ignore siege mode and farm the poor unsuspecting souls.

I had a hard time trying to work thistank out with itsmodes trying to make the most of it and gave up.

My Rating is five stars. It is totally underrated. It is extremely sneaky and fast. You can play like a light with Leo weapon.

When I saw that tank over a year ago, I thought, hmm, that looks alot like a Leopard. So I got it, and I play it like one ! It is ok, and I am glad I got it.

Pretty much how I always played this tank: without using siege mode. IF the DPM loss didnt exist, then I would use it. No reason for the longer reload IMHO. Just play it straight up.

Siege mode is just gimmick on this tank. Don’t bother with it. Play it as a support medium and/or mid range sniper. Super fun.

This tank is by far my best tank. Its speedy, accurate, has an amaizing gun, low profile, can work a ridge better than any other tank and can be played as a scout as well. Worth any single token. Was the very first BP tank i got ❤

Its not horrible it's just overrated and lackluster, which is a normal thing for ppl that need to buy their way through events. If you look at the earned tanks you cannot buy to get vs the Battle pay pass tanks you'll see the differences. The first few chapters get you ok tanks, but by the 3rd chapter you're getting some serious game changers. It's why I laugh so hard when on day 1 of BP you see the end tank in every battle or the latest skin, didn't even try they just clicked buy lol.
