My 93 LS400 is a gem too, it didn't have the best maintenance outside of oil changes, and basic. But I am slowly giving it the love it deserves, but it's in almost immaculate cosmetic condition, and despite being on factory spark plugs, and wires it shifts buttery smooth, and ran like a champ! I just replaced all the plugs, and wires with NGK's, brand new air filter. My car is an Arizona car so the hoses, and everything are all rotted badly, and I have to get a new breather tube, and the PS pump, is over due. But old car problems aside my LS400 is beautiful, it's a 93 gold package as well and I will drive this car until I can't anymore!

yoooo nice car man!!! I used to drive the blue two-toned one with the same year about 10 years ago with around 200,000 miles when I bought it. Totaled the car by HUGE hit and run accident in DTLA. Even though the right side of the car is completely smashed, I was totally fine with no injuries after the accident. After that I bought LS 400 1999 and now I have driven gs 2009 for about 10 years now. Honestly the セルシオ era from 10前期−30後期 is the best cars of entire toyota history in my opinion, especially 30後期. Old school yakuza cars. I love them so much.

Bro, what an amazing Jen diamond you got. You, truly came up with that vehicle. And the way you have it looking so nice and clean. It's amazing I'm happy to see that It went to a good proud owner. And I hope that you keep the legacy in continue taking good care of it. I own 2 of these beautiful diamonds. My is a 92 gold package. LS 400 my second one. It's a 1995 LS 400 with the gold package as well. And I liked them so much that I went and gave myself. Another Lexus for Father's Day which I had to buy. Because it was in such a clean condition. But this time I went with the 06 Lexus Gs. 300 which I happen to enjoy every time. I take it for a drive or drive them to work.

I’ve had my millennium silver 2000 LS400 as a daily for two years now and absolutely adore it. No rust, 165k miles, on coil overs, resonator delete, and everything works. 20” chrome Dubs in summer, 18” gold BBSs for winter. Gets a lot of love from random people too. I thoroughly enjoy every minute behind the wheel of this Japanese automotive masterpiece.🤌🏼 My Mother has driven a very clean 100k mile 1993 LS400 for six years now as well and she loves it too. Peace to anyone who has a passion and appreciation for the LS400.🙏🏼 1UZ for life.☝🏼

do you get any of electrical issues with your ls400 ? i am asking since the cars that is +25 years old tend to have those electric nightmares when capacitors start to leak, ribbon cables and diffent control boards go bad… any negative OR positive comments ? Thank you for your time
@eddiethetruhead2 місяці тому
@@dmitryk2058 No electrical issues with my 2000 LS so far. The 93 LS has a few electric gremlins like the inoperable side mirrors, fuel gauge barely works and needles on the dashboard gauges don’t fully light up anymore. My mechanic who owns a Celsior and hence knows these cars very well told me the 93 will need an ECU rebuild to bring it back. Pretty common repair for the older LS400s.
@dmitryk20582 місяці тому
@@eddiethetruhead Thanks for your feedback, greatly appreciated. My main concern is getting stuck with a vehicle that i can't find parts for and having troubles repairing it
@eddiethetruhead2 місяці тому
With the reliability of these LSs I don’t think parts cost is bad at all, especially compared to modern cars. Lots of bang for your buck. The fuel efficiency is decent for a V8 too as long as you drive it chill. I would suggest you don’t go older than 95 cause then you need an ODB1 reader for the engine codes instead of OBD2 which is more commonly available.

i love they gave you the whole history because i was also given the complete history all the way back to the original transcript of the order off the lot of the dealership. I was in awe of the care for the car. sadly the owner i bought it off of swapped with crappy maxpeeding coils, and still gave me the stock which i put back on, better ride imo. I 100% love this cars ride and i am hoping to just replace the bushings to return some comfort. I keep up my maintenence as well And ive got the tie rods to replace before they actually go bad

When I got mines they converted the ac r12 system to 134a ac system if your compressor keeps blowing it may be they didn’t change the expansion device along with drier. The 2 refrigerants use different refrigerant oils which use different viscosities and will burn out compressors if not replaced

I own an SC400 with the same motor. God help you when it comes time to do the starter or the timing belt, man. I did my starter in 2020; OMG, it was like visiting the 7th circle of hell. haha "Why, Toyota, WHYYYYYY??" was rolling off my tongue more times that you could count. The timing belt is even worse. Thankfully, my bros helped me out on that one, but both these jobs are, "experts only," territory. By contrast, I also have a 1991 Honda Civic Si, and working on IT is a CAKE WALK.

That's why when I do the timing belt on my LS it's also a good time to do the water pump, distributors, and rotors all at the same time. Front main seal as well if it's needed.

My 92 with factory air ride road great at 227k. Two Minnesota winters and 20k miles later and I'm in the process of a full suspension rebuild with coilovers. If the bushings and air ride are in good condition it holds up well with modern semi luxury cars albeit much floatier and boat like.

Basically what @hughter said and spring seats also work together with the suspention to make it seem like its on a cloud! Drivable couch!

My 1993 LS400 is on stuck suspension with closing in on 150k miles, 30 years later and it rides like an absolute cloud! It's a couch on wheels and the leather seats are so cushiony it's amazing!
